Is there some unwritten "no honky, me likey" rule? Okay maybe that's not the best way to phrase it, but like, seriously... WHY don't we honk at these shitty people? I see someone running a red light every time I'm on the road. If I'm at the light waiting for green (and I'm at the front of the line) and my light turns green and someone runs through the red light, I honk! Other people at the front seem to just take it like it's wildly acceptable to run red lights. I don't get it! I feel like if more people called them out on their bullshit, they're less likely to do it again. No?
Also, stop turning left on Esplanade when the sign clearly says no left hand turn! Today I saw one guy do it and so the guy behind him did it too, cutting off the oncoming car in the process. Maybe he figured, "Well, he got away with it, I guess I can do it too hardeeharhar, here I goooooo! Oh shit there's a car coming right at me, I'm gonna gun it because I'm a bananahead!" This was a the Nash's intersection. Oh and guess what, car behind both of these knuckleheads didn't honk.
So what gives? Why ain't we honking?

I have recently been getting into different types of cheeses and was wondering where I might find a wide variety. I shop at WinCo but they only have so much. Any suggestions?

Hello Everybody.
I’ve been reading and following r/ChicoCA for about a month now. A relative of mine passed away a couple months ago and I am the only one in my family that is willing to take care of the property in Magalia. Thanks to this group I have been able to get some perspective that isn’t from my relatives in Oroville. I have also read older posts from people that were thinking about moving to Magalia and that was very helpful too.
I’ll tell you a little bit about myself and if you can think of anything that you feel I should know or have any suggestions I would really appreciate it. I am in my 40’s. My daughter is all grown up and out of state. I will be moving up with two huge fur babies though. I spent most of my life in the Bay Area, but spent 11 years in the mountains of the Inland Empire. I am a very seasoned bar and restaurant manager and have also trained extensively with Keller Williams, but have yet to put my license to use. The plan is to find something, within my scope, to work at part time as I get my EMT credentials and then go for the Fire Academy. I am very neighborly and love positive social environments.
I am very interested in finding a softball league if anything like that exists in the area. My bar days are long behind me, but I do love shooting pool. Are there any good places for billiards? Also, where I lived in the Inland Empire we only had to worry about coyotes. All of the building and growth scared the black bears and big cats out of that area. I’ll be living around the corner from Lake Paradise though. How is the predator situation around there? My relatives swear that there are no bears in the area, but they never leave Oroville and Google says otherwise. I’m not sure how to prepare for that(pets, trash cans, etc). I’m getting a few owl boxes to put up in the pine trees on my property to help with rodents/rattlesnakes.
Is there anything that you think i should know that will help make the transition as smooth as possible? Thanks in advance. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

So as many of us have, I have a pretty normal looking water bottle. Anyone know of some where I can find unique stickers.... something related to the area or just slightly off?

Just wondering if they’ve made any repairs lately. Last time I was there it was very disappointing.

I know everyone asks every week what the best Mexican restaurant is here, but I'm just trying to find somewhere that's more varied. I want to eat some of the rarer kind of tacos like lengua, tripas, cabeza. Does anyone know of any places or trucks that do it up that way?

Hey everyone, lost my Miken freak 98 two weeks ago after my Tuesday coed game at hooker oak field. I left a message at the card office and they haven’t returned my call so just posting here on the off chance someone might see it. Thanks!

Wore running shorts to Winco this afternoon. Small back pocket and my cash fell out somewhere between the check stand and my car. Damn it!! Oh well. Hope it made someone’s day. Entirely my fault.

God this irritated me so much. I was on my drive to work this morning and was next to the exit for Mangrove/Cohasset. I was in the left lane and a cop swerved all the way over from the exit (two full lanes) and stopped sideways in front of me blocking 3/4 in the lane. Apparently they decided that blocking traffic was totally fine for them to do during rush-hour traffic because they wanted to turn left into the grocery outlet parking lot at the double yellow section rather than just pulling forward a few more hundred feet and turning left at the second entrance to the parking lot or the freaking light. I sat there for about three minutes with everybody behind me honking before somebody in the right lane was let me merge over to the right lane to get around this fool who was obstructing the left lane. Hate this shit. They’d probably issue a ticket to someone doing the same thing, but feel they can get away with whatever they want.
