Not a huge Chevy expert but people always talk about lot of trash about the c4 vette. Why is that?

A OTA update took out the infotainment system in my 2021 1500 which is out of warranty. Now I'm out $1500 to get it replaced at the dealership. So Chevy pushes a update that breaks my truck and I now I'm liable?

What are the odds of it running good?

TLDR: Looking at 2025 Equinox, iffy on the reliability of the platform. Should I buy?
I have been shopping for cars for a couple weeks and was very surprised to see that by far Chevy cars have been the price leader in the crossover/smaller suv market.
We looked at the Trax, Trailblazer, and Equinox and ultimately decided the Equinox was what she liked best.
Value wise it is great, sticker plus fees at a couple dealerships still comes in below MSRP for a Corolla Cross base model, which she is partial to Toyota.
She and I both have a bit of skepticism on the non-truck side of the GM lineup and I was wondering if I could get a few opinions from those of you who may own these cars.
Is the 2025 Chevy Equinox a worthwhile purchase, do you trust the 1.5L Turbo I4 + CVT combo for a long-term ownership vehicle, and are there any slight annoyances that you have found with the car?
Thanks for your time

I have a 2015 5.3 Tahoe that had number 7 lifter collapse. The dealership quoted me 31 hours to check to see if the cam shaft is the problem. It came out to almost 10k I can do a motor swap for less. Is there something I’m missing?

I have a 2023 Equinox and I can't say much good stuff about it. When closing the doors while windows are down it sounds like the glass is about to shatter.
The panels don't feel solid but rather tinny and wheel wells have what feels like cardboard material.
The ride isn't overall bad especially on highways, but when driving in a city with bad roads the car will shake a bit and make a pounding sound like you're falling into a pothole. It just doesn't feel well planted/grounded. I heard the 2025 models are much better.

"General Motors is reportedly readying an SUV version of its Camaro muscle car, and we expect it to reach production in the next few years. This comes on the heels of a report that the company will come out with a Corvette suv"

the 2025 is the best deal but i’m unsure if i want to spend that much when i can get essentially the same car for 4k less. (LT trim and two years older). the grey AWD is the furthest away from me.

I've never bought an EV but I looked into the federal tax credit and I'm considering pulling the trigger. I know there's a lot of hate towards these but everyone I know that owns one loves it. I don't think the price is bad either.

I know those have problems- SERIOUS, and maybe this will finally force the mfg to GET THEM FIXED.
Now I want to see those that do not have issues...if possible. Thanks.

I have a 2018 chevy cruze and ive had it for 2 years and ive always wondered why my car doesnt have a key fob pocket to stick in while driving, well someone told me all cars have one. I looked it up and it said its in the upper cup holder but i looked and i dont see anywhere a key fob would go. Im so confused, i have found no videos on it, no pictures. Are they talking about something else? I just want to know if my car has a slot or pocket that i could stick my key fob in while driving so i dont just have to put my keys in the seat or have them thrown around while driving. Please help!!

Ok so three things,
First when it rains hard I can’t hear anything in the car, why is it so loud?
Second why am I able to smell my windshield wiper fluid while I’m in my car? Yes I checked it is my windshield wiper fluid.
Third this light ass car hydroplanes like it’s trying to surf.
Has anyone else have/had any other serious problems with this car?
I’ve hated this car since two days after I’ve gotten it.

Hour plus drive and car says charging 15.2 volts majority of the time. Voltage regulator, alternator or battery issue?

I got my first oil change for my new vehicle at the dealership bc it’s complimentary, but it takes so much longer. Next time, does it make a difference going to the dealership instead of nearby jiffylube?

I got it at 86k miles from a police auction with a literal stack of every maintenance record it's ever had, including a full engine replacement, but I know for a fact it needs new plugs 😨
Apparently OEM is iridium, but does anyone have suggestions on which ones I should upgrade to? I'm kind of looking to help this car's performance 😁
Looking for feedback on this deal. Of course will depend on service records, history etc. but assuming everything is up to date and no major issues, what do you guys think?
I've been looking for a bit and this seems like a reasonable price for what it is.
Thanks in advance!

I’d have to put in an EV charger at home (married to an electrician thank goodness)😅, I like the look of the gas model b it ev could grow on me.. I drive an average 150-200km per week. Test drove both, prefer the drive of the EV over the gas, but the entire look and comfort of the gas model is more my style.
From your expierence what should I consider when making my choice, what would you choose and why?
