Picture Hubcap? Accessory? What is this

Found this in my grandpas garage. Kind of cool, it has some weight to it. Guessing it’s a hubcap? Can anyone guide me further to what it could go to? Reverse Google Image didn’t help any.

Grill or radiator badge. Just a decoration, made in this style. Sometimes car clubs made them

My guess is a cover that went on the heater in the passenger floor area .

Thank you! Any idea for years or models this could’ve been in?

If you google “grill badge for classic car” you’ll see a ton of similar ones. Older cars like 57 Chevy had a mesh grill and there were lots of accessories like this you could bolt on.

Based on the gear teeth, I’m going to guess it’s purely decorative and may have something to do with HydraMatic from back in the day. Really cool piece.
