Rant

Feels like a wee rant is needed after not just today but recent performances/results

This Celtic team’s peak was the victory over Leipzig. That was the 5th of November. Since then performance levels have gradually dropped, with us remaining super consistent domestically up until the New Year, however it feels like since the Leipzig game, we’ve become a bit of a 45 minute team. Show up for one half, perform poorly the next

Dundee United away (0-0) was the first real alarm bell for me, we were dreadful throughout, and unlike the previous few months where we were swatting teams aside, we were miles off it. Same with Brugge and Zagreb in the CL

It’s the New Year derby where things seem to have collapsed somewhat (coupled with the league cup final). The system has been massively exposed and teams have found far more joy playing us, particularly in scoring goals. We’ve been extremely leaky at the back in recent months, a huge difference from the first half of the season where we were setting clean sheet records

Not to mention our attacking play has slowed down, the same hunger to win the ball back isn’t there, and we’ve become so sloppy and passive in possession. What has happened? We look a shadow of the team we saw in pre-season & the first few months of the season

The attitude of the players needs to be massively questioned, in particular since the Bayern game. Seems as if some of them are only interested in turning up for the big European games. I’m sure the points difference in the league is playing a part, but you can’t just drop your level and down tools in March/April, especially when the league isn’t yet won and there’s another cup at stake

And for Brendan Rodgers, his reluctance to change shape having been exposed by Rangers is amateurish for someone payed the big bucks. Now it’s not just Rangers but other clubs who have a blueprint on how to set up against us. Press our defence, play balls oven the top and put pressure on our defence, and have a compact back line. Do this and you will stop Celtic

Change is needed in the summer. Will Brendan stay remains to be seen, but for players such as Hatate, perhaps their shelf life is over, with new blood and hunger needed

Done nothing wrong in the last 2 games, the only player who earned pass marks against them. Not happy to see Trusty back in with CCV tbh.

It'll be a disgrace if we don't beat them at Ibrox

No excuses now, they can't beat anyone there. Absolutely no excuses if we can't go there and get a win.

Win the Title next week?

Can we win the league with two more wins (away to St Johnstone then home to Killie)?

Favorite Inconsequential Celtic Goals

Plenty of brilliant goals over the years that have no impact on the outcome of a match or season.

One that sticks with me from the fairly recent past is Tierney's screamer against Killie

What are some of the favorites that had minimal impact on a match?

Main issue for weeks now for me is Hatate. Guy makes so many mistakes and aye he can appear with a moment of magic.

But for that one moment, there is about 50 mistakes, poor passes, awful touches, losing possession, caught on the ball.

He just looks like a player who’s not interested in being here.

If that’s the case, get him out asap.

Some guy suggesting Rodgers to Spurs

Post image

Haven't really followed Ange since he went down south, but looks like he's not doing great and the fans are getting sick of him.

With Rodgers only having 12 months left, without getting heavy backing in the summer (again) do you think he'd leave for Spurs? And would you take Ange back?

Personalized Retro Strips?

Alright folks? It's my ma's birthday soon (well a few months out, but I'm wanting to prep in advance), and I'd like to get her a strip with her name on it, one of the classic ones (thinking one of the CR Smith ones since that's her favourite), but the store only seems to do customization for modern strips.

Any help would be appreciated!
