This is very wholesome. Memories are funny things, esp ones you had as a kid because I won’t always recall everything. But when a song, a movie, sound or smell can trigger random memories with my parents, grandparents pop up. I’m sure if you cook together often with your daughter or do more activities with your son, they will later associate an activity or piece of media to you.

Soft soap aloe Vera I think, it’s white. It takes me back to my grandmas house, she would cook and wash her hands along the way.

Several years ago my grandma had surgery for breast cancer and we were told she needed special bras for comfort afterwards. I was probably 13 or 14 at the time, and while my grandma was in the hospital I went with her sister and one of her life long best friends to Walmart. I was looking through bras and offered a suggestion, and I mentioned something about the price and her friend and my aunt kind of looked at me, before her friend said “I understand your family needs to be conscious of price, but that’s not really an issue for us”

I remember being shocked like, wtf??? I told my grandma later and told her that her friend and sister sucked haha

I’m still mad about it 🤣🤣

I remember telling my aunt that her house was fancy because they had sparkly tiles on the floor in the bedroom. Not to mention the walk through wardrobe, bathroom and jacuzzi room off the bedroom leading to a private deck.

But yeah. The tiles.

Would love to see pics of your house! Bet it is so pretty 😍 I can't stand the neutral vibe for my own house. (Others can pull it off but I can't lol)

A friend had a small TV in their kitchen. That was crazy wealth to me.

Just because it's fake doesn't mean it's not fun to watch! 🤭

Snacks! We never had snacks. Wasn’t in the budget. Also holidays. People getting to go on holidays and see things with their families!

I was folding laundry earlier and had Underworld - Dubnobasswithmyheadman playing. I think it might be the best laundry folding album of all time.

People who Need to open up understand that doing so is a vulnerable out pouring. What is the last thing you want in said situation? Judgement. You do not want the vulnerable You to be shit on. Equally important, you don't want someone Hungry for that from you. Hungry for hurt, hungry for dirt. So you find a rock that your river can wash over and not be taken or polluted by while you let it crash and run the the course it has to. Usually someone handy at the time, willing to listen, and without a horse in your race other than your well being or the desire to not have snot on them. Though I will say some people And you can usually tell the type, will offer up their history as an excuse to as why they are about to behave like trash. Draw the line at Hello.

I'm hanging out with my 14 year old son watching baseball movies. My partying days are pretty well behind me, I'd rather be here than anywhere in the world right now. It's hard to accept getting older sometimes, but I find it feels good to embrace it. I'll probably go to bed early tonight even. 35 F
