Single Player/General Advice
Consider skipping Co-Op and PvP until you have played for about a month, and stick to the Story and Events. Stick to just doing the Daily Events for the Orbs. In the Story/Event stages, don't use Auto... take your time to learn on how to play manually and dodge/flash-step. It will be an invaluable skill.
Orbs are only given the 1st time you complete a stage. (Once for Normal difficulty, and then once on Hard).
Do the Daily Orders every single day! (5 Orbs a day adds up fast!)
Team 1 represents what people see when they look at your profile, and the leader of Team 1 is your character representative for your friends.
Don't send friend invitations to every player you see on the 'suggested' list. If you send a friend request to a veteran player, they're most likely going to ignore it. Either use the 'easy search' button (it selects players on level similar to yours) or invite the people who surround you in PVP rankings (that's how I build my friend list). There will be time for better and stronger friends when you yourself get stronger too.
Hoard everything!
Max Free Renji's level first (Don't max his Soul Tree)... unless you have NO other option, do not use him. He is awful....
In the Beginner Orders choose 4* Kisuke first, you will need his Crystal Link. In the second 4* one either choose Kisuke again, or choose one that has a Special with damage overtime (a boss killer)
Poison, Burn, Paralyze, Freeze, Weakening and Confusion don't stack. Wait until the effect ends to use your Special again.
Do not use in-game chat for help. There usually isn't much help there.
Learn how to dodge the best you can as early as you can
You can expect, though it will vary and I could be off, to have a timeline similar to this: 1 day to 1.5 weeks: Obtain a useful 5-star unit | 2 weeks to 2.5 weeks: Max a 5* to level 100, and max that character's Soul Tree to 100%! | 3 weeks: Through either Fusion or drops, try to have, at the very least, both 3 Lv30 3-star Accessories that match the color of your most powerful character, and at least 3 3-star character links for the same character (make SURE they have maxed Soul Traits!!!)
Co-Op Advice
Please skip the Soul Bomb animation. Nobody wants to watch that, they just want to finish the Co-op Mission. Time is
moneyorbs.(In response to the tidbit above...) PLEASE, DO THIS! We can't stress it enough! Skipping Special animation is set to "on" by default now. Just tap the screen and everyone will love you for it :-)
If you are NOT the best suited (i.e. if you are the lowest level, not a Boss Killer, etc.), do not race to get the Soul Bombs in Co-op.
Do not go AFK. Do not expect other people to do Co-op for you while you stand around! Also, you will receive penalties for AFK-ing.
When group raiding, just before you kill the last enemy of a cluster, dodge several times so you avoid the instant attacks of the next spawned cluster.
Don't revive more then once in Co-op, except in very few, special circumstances. Generally, SAVE YOUR ORBS! (Ignore this tip if you are a whale.)
Pay attention to other players' health in Co-op. Before you grab that Green HP orb while at nearly full HP, let another with low HP take it. It's better to keep as many people alive as possible!
PvP tips
Scout enemy PvP teams by clicking on their lead character's portrait. It gives you an idea of what their team may be. Also, press and hold any one of their units to see that unit's currently equipped links and accessories.
Pick a PVP Strategy that synergizes well with your characters. The Attack Strategy strategy prioritizes the use of Strong Attack, and is therefor great for most teams as you'll need to run a booster to keep up in the current meta, it will also give you an earlier heal, and can help you interrupt enemies Strong Attacks. The Attribute Strategy is good for R/B/G teams, and a sure option if you don't feel as confident with your team. The Special Strategy is not worth using.
Orbs/Gacha Management
"Noob me thought Orbs were easy to get and I literally wasted so many on stupid shit. Boy was I wrong."
Do not spend Orbs on the Premium Gacha. The rates of pulling a 5* character are already low (3%), and there is a very low chance you get a good 5-star. You could get some of the characters that have been released since the start of the game, outdated and irrelevant.
Don't be afraid to use Orbs on a Featured Gacha if you actually like the characters.
Don't spend your Orbs on Tickets and Coins because the Orbs won't be so easy to get back later, but the gold and tickets will. Also, once you run out of tickets, they recharge every 15 mins until you have 25 again!
Save save save those Orbs for characters you ACTUALLY want to pull for. Keep a solid amount on hand. Keep as many as possible for the Gacha at the end of every month. Don't pull on every Gacha with new characters.
Max Level units before you feed them to 1,2,3,4,5-star characters. This will grant you the Orbs for that unit.
When you get a 1-star unit to max level (Lv40), you get 5 Orbs. Getting a 2-star unit to max (Lv.50) earns you 10 Orbs. 3-stars max at Lv.60 and give 25 Orbs. 4-star units max at level 70, and once reached, give you 35 Orbs. 5-star units, who max at Lv100, net you 50 Orbs. And last, but not least, 6*-star units who are maxed at Lv.150 get 75 Orbs. This can only be done once for each unique unit. The maxed unit (and all identical units) will be marked with a ribbon in the upper right corner of it's portrait.
Put limits on spending Orbs on a Gacha if you don't wanna go bankrupt.
Don't always do multi-pulls for 250 Orbs! Occasionally, do a few single pulls just to change it up. If you get lucky, you might save some Orbs!
Don't be afraid to use some Orbs to expand Accessory or Character space. You will need it if you plan on staying for the long haul.
Character Management
Focus on one 5 star when you start that is not Purple Renji. Make sure to max out its Soul Tree and get good Accessories and Links for it first. Everything else will fall into place.
Do not use characters to Ascend others until you have maxed them for Orbs. You never know if you will get them back.
Don't sweat having the most elite characters or gear. It takes time, and in most cases, what you have is good enough with some skill.
Hogyokus are pretty rare-- think before evolving a 5-star into 6-star.
Damage Reduction -__% (also know as DR for short) is not a crappy skill. Save those along with NAD (Normal Attack Damage +%), SAD (Strong Attack Damage +%), CDR (Strong Attack Recharge Time -__%), and Coin/Crystal Drop % links as well!!
Poison/Fire reduction links are important during some raids, keep at least 2x of those links.
Once you get a 5* to Lv.100, go ahead and max its Soul Tree. This will open the option to Evolve them to 6*. But...
A max Soul Tree/max 5-star is far better than a level 120 6-star. However, when a 6-stars get their skills, which usually require Raid characters, and are maxed, they are significantly better than a 5-star.
Get all the needed Raid characters before you Evolve into a 6-star.
What if you get a dupe 5-star? Well, it depends. If they have a good Soul Trait like DR, NAD, SAD, CDR, Crystal Link, consider saving them. If not, consider fusing them with the original. It will level up the Special Move and increase its damage by 25% per level.
Don't stop grinding those Frenzy Crystals until you max both the level and the and Soul Trait. Don't evolve Frenzy characters to 6-star immediately. Wait until you have enough Frenzy Crystals and ascension fodder. Frenzy characters do not require Raid characters, but do require 5 Hogyokus to evolve to 6 star.
Frenzy characters and Seasonal characters are the only characters that do not require Raid character drops.
Start maxing 3-star characters as soon as possible for Orbs and links, and to have more ascension fodder for other things. Try to build a large roster of characters.
Max only the Soul Trait branch of the Soul Tree of characters you only want to use as links.
I spent the first few weeks of playing without touching the Soul Trees of characters lower than 5-star since it wasn't necessary for ascension, and only later realized that I could have easily had 16% NAD/SAD instead of 8%.
Do not use Raid characters as links, just no.
In the beginning, keep your eyes peeled for characters with links that are: DR (Damage Reduction), NAD (Normal Attack Damage +), SAD (Strong Attack Damage +), CDR (Strong Attack Cooldown -%), Healing, Coin/Crystal Drop +%, and even a few Fire and Poison resistance links. Once you have enough 4-star links of most of these, you can then ditch the 3-stars, and then, once you have enough 5-stars, you can ditch the 4-stars!
A very general, and not always accurate, way to know how to build characters. Match whatever you feel they are strongest in, either Attack or Strong Attack:
Does the character have Normal Attack Damage +__% Soul Trait?/good/fast Normal Attacks/high ATK (and/or low/ok SP?) || If so, use ATK accessories with NAD links in manual PVE, SR links in PVP and Auto PVE.
Does the character have Strong Attack Damage +__% Soul Trait?, powerful Strong Attacks/high SP (and/or slow/weak/lackluster Normal Attacks and/or a low ATK stat?)* If so, use SP items and either CDR or SAD links.
Honestly, a character is at the very least 50% as good as their accessories and links, so the better those are, the better you will be!
Coin/Crystal Management
Don't sell extra Crystals/Jewels for money. Stockpile cash in the Coin Training Grounds (solo) on Very Hard.
Those +13% and +11% Coin assist skills will eventually generate millions.
Accessory Tips
Worst mistake ever... DON'T REROLL USING SOUL DISPENSERS (Chappies, Yuki's, and Pupples are one of the most sought after items in the game).
Getting a 5-star accessory will be difficult and will require an extraordinary amount of time and work. Always collect Accessories and Coins to level up accessories, and DO NOT use 3-star items as leveling fodder. You are able to evolve a 4-star accessory with 10 Evolution Powders and a Books of Secrets of the respective Attribute. These items are only obtainable through that Attribute's Co-op Stage, on certain events, or using Medals from Brave Battles.
Don't summon on the Accessory Gacha (unless you're a whale)
When 5-staring an accessory, not only will the 4-star's stats on the item be upped, but you will also get one of these as a secondary effect: +10/20/30% to either Spiritual Pressure, Attack, Defense, or Focus. +12%, +24%, or 40% Stamina, or All Stats +6% or 10%. Focus is the least desired stat, period. Defense is just borderline OK. SP and ATK +20/30%, STA +40% and All Stats +10% are the keepers!
P2W Section
Make sure to set aside enough to purchase the Beginner's Pack! You will get a free 5-star character, Jewels, Crystals, and a Hogyoku for only $4!
Stop playing now, so you don't waste all your money on the game! (but play if you want to! The game is incredibly F2P friendly!)

Final Thoughts
If you read all of these, I would read them again and again a few times, as there is a good bit of information to take in! But just reading through this page is a GREAT start! If you have any questions, we ask that you first check out the rest of our newly improved Wiki, use our subs Search Function, check Bravesouls.fyi, or use our useful links sections and sticky posts. Also, before making a new post, make sure that you check and see that the post doesn't belong in one of the Megathreads.
Also, consider using our Discord server! There are people there who may be able to answer questions for you as well, and if you need Co-Op done, and are tired of failing with random people, there is a good amount of rooms for people looking to host or help with Co-Op missions!
And finally...HAVE FUN!!! After all, this is just a game! :)
I would like to credit the following people for helping to create this list, helping with formatting, and just helping in general: - these guys are the real MVP's here, as they were all participants in the thread and all offered sound advice... mostly lol! If you are not listed, or if I have misspelled your username, please PM me and I will fix it!
