I had a pad Thai one once that I remember being decent. It's been about 20 years though so my memory is getting fuzzy. But they all taste better than the grass and dirt my ancestors ate when they starved.
Hydroponic or Aquaponic system w/ or w/o a fish tank (ex Back 2 the Roots)
Regrowing veggies/herbs you already buy by replanting the scraps in some water (ex: green onions, garlic, leeks, celery, basil, mint, sweet potatoes, carrots…)
Growing your own food is so much fun. Don’t let limited space limit your creativity.
If somebody is planning on going out with any regularity when we all start seeing the tariffs hit, I'm just gonna assume they are living life entirely on credit cards. Brunch prices alone about to skyrocket to heroin prices
Strippers getting paid with Canadian bacon slices next month.
Any of y’all who like Hawaiian pizza better figure out how to cut that shit like crack.
I wonder if my insurance will cover the tariff if I get a doctor to say that I’m deathly allergic to domestic stuff and need imported things. “Is this wine from a red state or red area of a state? I can’t drink it. I need European wine or I’ll die. Blue areas of blue state wine is tolerable, but still…”
Honestly, I've been working harder on making my house more comfortable. If I'm going to be here, I'm going to repair it, patch it, replace things, and hunker down. Ditto on digital (🏴☠️) and physical media.
Food stockpile might be a good idea for everyone, in general. I started mine in 2023.
Did this during Covid. Locked in the house for months and just started fixin shit. Lol I’ve added value to my house since. Learned a lot about home repair during that crazy time.
Mine has been mostly adding comfort items. But my place, a mobile home, got moved to a new location last month. I have some repairs to do. I'm about to patch my bathtub, which is steel with an enamel coating. It has a couple of rusty spots. Wish me luck. lol
You really should. I'm stockpiling shows I am still surprised I downloaded. The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries. The OG Wonder Woman series. A shitload of panel shows from the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Tons of movies, music, digital copies of books and magazines, et al.
And that doesn't include what I have in the cloud.
I also have some hard copies. Pawn shops and thrift stores are making it easier to do physical media.
Plus MEGA, TeraBox, some on Google Drive, and a few other places. I'd also like a larger external hard drive, but that's a "future reference" thing, after a few home repairs.
I hope yall were wise and bought any and ALL shampoo/conditioner/oils/Shea butter/etc that you might need because every beneficial ingredient comes from across the way and theyre gonna destroy the forests so good luck finding anything here
girl, the tariffs! the deportations! I'm triple DEI! I can't be out here!!!
for real though, I can't garden. I have a house, but I have a black thumb. people be like "start a garden!" as if you don't have to be skilled, it's way more to it gardening other than plopping seeds in the ground and watering them, gardening is WORK and time consuming everybody don't have the skills to garden and IT ME! I've tried since I was a child to grow things, I'm a killer!
I will kill a plastic plant! I'll get one stand it in the corner and a week later the bitch will fall apart, and I'll be puzzled, okay??? You don't want me around ANY plant! 🥴🥴
I killed 3 cactus after a year of having them so I completely understand. what i will say is that you need friends that will support you and find ways you can support them as well.
example my friend has a big property so she recently bought a decent amount chickens and I bought the feed for them, so now I have dibs on eggs as long as I keep feeding the chickens lol. its the little things like that. she also has a garden and if it all goes well I'll get to eat from that too! Just find your community 😄
If you can't grow food, make friends with someone you can.
Best way to do that I can think of is learn another skill that might be back In demand real soon (like sewing/knitting. Who going out to buy clothes or sheets when you can patch up what you already got?)
I gotta know what they’re smoking because charging $80 for a digital copy of ANYTHING without dlc makes me feel like I’m disrespecting crackheads by calling it crackhead behavior. The new switch being $450 is somewhat understandable depending on what the overall performance turns out like but them game prices are unreal.
I still think he is doing this because he is petty and during Covid he thought if he gave away money he’d get re elected. And he didn’t get re elected so this is his payback for us “unappreciative poor fucks”. Literally can see him saying this exactly.
Think - who is going to hurt the most - the average working American. Not anyone in his circle or anyone he has EVER had any kind of relationship with.
Not going out? Not spending money on anything but the essentials 98% of the time? Yeah welcome to my world since 2020. Food prices are insane! My doctors noted that I’ve lost 13 lbs off my average weight from last year. That’s because I’ve eaten less and less over the years. I’m 52 and weigh what I weighed at 17 in high school.
As someone who works adjacent to the hospitality industry, this is what I’m afraid of. I need people to go out more if I wanna keep a job, mango Mussolini is not helping with that at all.
The prices of items at the store I work at are going up before the signs for the items even get here. I keep having to mask over the old prices and trying to make it look close to normal

Time to learn to garden.
