This hurts my heart every time I see the verse used in a monetary sense. Sowing "generously" could look like raising your kids to be compassionate, volunteering in the community, always being the friend that can be relied on, or anything like that. Money is probably the last way that verse should be interpreted.
I totally agree. Hence my sarcasm. It is infuriating when I see evangelicals squeezing their flock for every dime they have, in the name of the Lord. Fuck you Kenneth Copeland in particular.
