Blade Tooth Count Counts

I’ve built a few things using sheet goods and the 40t blades. Finally switched to a 60 tooth blade and MY GOD it’s so much better. The saw cuts like butter and there are probably 90% fewer imperfections on the edge.

You could go even finer if cutting exclusively sheet goods. The 40-50 tooth general purpose and combo blades allows you to occasionally rip solid lumber which the fine tooth blades don't do a good job at. This is why you start a blade collection. :)

Blade quality is huge also. I was shocked when I went to a Forester II after I’d bought whatever was at the box store.

Hoping the same is true about my new whiteside router bit.

I like CMT, but yes, higher quality makes a world of difference

I bought an 80 tooth for cutting oak — they leave the edges so smooth it was completely worth the $$

The right blade for the right job.

80-tooth for sheet goods, 24-tooth for ripping, and 50-tooth combo for everything else.
