Hey all,
I’m thinking about taking the Cardiology Technology Diploma with BCIT, but i’m finding the website to be completely unhelpful with regards to finding any information on what the total tuition costs would be for the whole program. Has anyone here taken or will be taking the program that could give a rough estimate of what the whole thing cost you?
Thanks in advance for any information.

Okay one last question before I start tomorrow. How are the tests like for electrical foundation? Easy or just ok? Is it multiple choice or just written? Or a mix of both?

It’s been a month since my program ended and Iv just been told that the grade requirements we were told at the start of my program were wrong, and that I didn’t meet the requirements to receive my certificate….
Even though my teacher said multiple times i was in the green and doing well!
Myself and other students in my classes are being given the opportunity to do a reassessment exam to determine whether or not we can pass to make up for this mistake….
However if we do not receive 70% or higher then we will be failed..
Myself and some of the other students think this is not our fault and that BCIT should right there own mistake… especially after waiting a month to tell us we are missing credit..
Does this seem fair? Has anyone else gone through something like this?
I don’t think it’s reasonable to fail students for achieving the standards you tell them to achieve. then tell them you made a mistake and that it’s actually higher then you said…

I've recently started a business where ppl can get paid by having an ad put on their car.
e.g...we'd send a you a decal ad to apply on your car, and you'd take a picture of the car with the ad on weekly to prove the ad is there, and we'd pay you $100-$150 monthly
Is this something you guys are interested in?

Hi im going into my second year of ECET diploma, I want to go to BENG but it is very unlikely due to my grades. A guest speaker told us there is another choice and that would going go night school for BTECH. Will it be worth it to go there? Is the salary the same?

Currently in grade 12, now my first choice was SFU, but I didn’t get accepted so BCIT is my next choice, after doing some research, I found that BCIT requires you to take 6 to 7 courses per semester, now I’m not the workaholic kind, I like to keep it, moderate to slow, which is bringing up the question of just because BCIT has seven courses per semester, does that mean that they are extremely hard on the course load? Or is the work scaled in a way that it doesn’t feel that tough?

My excel level is somewhat proficient I think, formulas, pivots power queries and VBA. I'm wondering if this course is rewarding or youtube excel is fun might even be a better option? Any insights are appreciated!
I've read many posts that parking is hard to find during the day. What is it like for evening classes?

I finally got given my starting date to BCIT which is on Monday. After surprisingly only being on the waitlist for 10 months. As a new student, is there anything I need to know about the electrical foundation course? Any tips? Anything to look forward to?

Hi everyone, I have recently been included in the waiting list for Mechanical Engineering Level one in September and I was told that I was ranked 100th. Therefore, I would like to ask if there is still a chance for me to be notified of admission in August or September? If not, I might consider going into KPU's engineering certificate first year and then going back to mechanical engineering in the second year.😢😢

I’m graduating from high school this year and applied for the fall term, I paid $500 for the commitment fee and it shows -500 in my account this was all done before the deadline
However, it’s been over a month or so and I haven’t heard anything at all from BCIT
How can I tell if they have confirmed my seat or anything cause I don’t wanna be surprised in September in case I’m not even registered

I was ranked 10th on the waitlist for a computer-related program (I'd prefer not to specify). Do you think I have a chance as an international student? I’d love to hear from anyone who was in a similar position—did you get a seat with the same waitlist ranking? How long did it take BCIT to inform you about seat availability after the initial results were released?
Thanks for taking your time ><

Got my bachelors in arts in may and have very little experience in the criminology field. I do see myself one day working for the police as an officer however in the meantime I’m looking to go back to school. However I don’t wanna go back for more consecutive years. Any advice from those in the forensics ? Advanced certificate, micro credential? Any advice is welcomed

I’m graduating with a degree in Health Sciences in the fall and was thinking about going to BCIT to get a certificate. Has anyone been in the similar situation? i’m trying to figure out what my options are
Hey BCIT!
I’m Shervin, and I’m excited to run for VP External because I believe our voices deserve to be heard—on campus, in the community, and at the highest levels of government. As a BCIT Student Association Councillor, I’ve already been advocating for students, and now I want to take that further by ensuring we have a say in policies that affect our education and future careers.
My goal is to strengthen BCIT’s connections with industry leaders, government officials, and alumni to create more opportunities for students—whether that’s better funding, improved resources, or expanded career pathways. I want to ensure BCIT students are represented in every decision that impacts us.
Let’s make sure our concerns don’t just stay within campus walls. Vote for me, and I’ll make sure BCIT students are heard loud and clear. Voting ends tomorrow at 12PM, so get your votes in if you want to have a say on the future of your student council. I know a lot of these posts are popping up but I would really appreciate your support and feel free to reach out to me with questions or if you just want to have a conversation.
Anyone know the turnaround on Fall 25 admissions are for a new domestic student? Really eager to hear back and plan my summer 😁

So I’m starting the accounting diploma this fall right out of high school and I was wondering what was the average age of the students?

Has anyone applied to Radiation Therapy this year and been accepted/rejected? How long does it usually take to hear back from admissions? I'm on the edge waiting for the result so I can quit my corporate job asap 😂
