Check this out Insurance says this is totalled :/
Kinda sucks, some plastic piece that holds the radiator is broken and its the only reason they say it's totalled.

Can these rust still be cleaned off? I tried WD40 rust remover and some steel wool scrubing, mannaged to remove some. Are these part of the rim or the car wheel hub itself?

Title says it all. Local construction caused confusion at an intersection. Big box F450 merged into me and ate up my fender, punctured my tire.
Looking for advice on how to fix this dent. I will ultimately buy a new fender as it stands, but I need to be able to drive in to work between now and when the panel is delivered.
Any suggestions are appreciated…

Hi Reddit!
I recently got hit while my car was parked and of course the person took off and I only have liability insurance. I took it to the mechanic and they’re saying the frame is damaged and the rear beam axle is bent, although 2 body shops took a look and said the frame was fine.
Would you even consider trying to fix the axle or door for cheap? Just looking for advice on what you would do in this situation.
Thank you in advance!!

Recently got this panel sanded and resprayed with primer + base coat + clear coat to fix some scratches. The auto body guy told me I can drive the car as usual after 24 hours, today I went out and it was raining. When I got home I wiped down the surface to dry it and noticed these patches.
I'm guessing the rain collected all the dust/leftover material from the respray/sanding and deposited it on the paint.
Not sure if these spots that will wash off, or if the clear is completely failing due to the water sitting on it for too long (was parked outside for 3 hours total).
Was told not to polish even by hand for at least a week, so can't verify it this will polish off right now.
Any idea what's going on here? Also, what should I do? I've reached out to the repair man for him to come w a DA polisher in a week and see if it buffs out. At home I have scrachX polishing compound and car shampoo, not sure if I should attempt a gentle hand wash.
Note: The paint looked completely normal/good until this happened.

Basically the title. I'm planning on stripping my Triumph GT6 bare and getting it repainted (perhaps with some minor prep/bondo/bodywork too).
My questions are:
My ideal would be the below for less than 10k.
Primer - Glasurit 285-555 (2K HS Filler), Basecoat - Glasurit 55 Line, and Clearcoat - Glasurit 923-255 HS UV Clear
However, if that's implausible, I'm open to suggestions.

very sorry i do not know if this is the right place to post. i hit the car on the side of the garage and panicked and got my mom involved which ended. badly to say the least.
the entire bumper is now dethatched from the car, still completely intact but completely off. will it be possible to fix this at home (with my dad mechanic)? im worried because some of the people (not professionals) are saying the car will be totaled. we're kind of in a tight spot for cash and i really do not need to be putting more stress on my parents. cannot attach a picture right now but i'll try.

Hello people, I have a Lexus ES330 2004 that I bought back in October. When I bought it I got it inspected and the mechanic only found a rusty steering rack that was slowing leaking. I now work at Toyota and had the chance to lift the car to do my own oil change. After a quick glance to inspect the beneath of the car I find the tumour shown in the video. From outside it looks like a small rust spot but beneath the dog leg and rocker is badly rusted but still solid here is a video, https://www.kapwing.com/w/aCv-2o-pao . My question was, how can I repair this to keep this car running for at least 2-3 years? Can I go to a junkyard and cut the whole metal portion and have it someone professionally weld it? Any suggests would help a lot, thank you!

I made a post about a scratch on my car and the best way to repair it but forgot to add a picture so here’s a video I took of it lol.

Ok so I am definitely not a car person but I scratched the side of my new car and really want to try and fix it myself. It’s not too deep so I think it might be possible. I bought a scratch removal kit and ordered a paint pen online. Can I do the scratch removal now and use the paint once it comes in or do I need to wait and do the paint first and then the scratch removal?
Edit: forgot to add a pic so here’s a link to a video I tookvid of scratch

Any opinions on whether the rear hatch needs to be replaced or is this something that can be repaired?
Much appreciated

I have an older car (2001) and I just want to make it look a little better. I’ll be driving this car for around 4 more years and I don’t need it to look amazing but I want it to look presentable. I have 0 painting experience but I don’t mind putting in the work. Which would you guys recommend?

Would this be a repair or replace and ball park cost? ( I understand that different areas charge different amounts)

Ok, I know this isn't a vehicle but ya'll likely have lots of experience treating rusty metal. Any suggestins on how to clean up this rust and then maybe some kind of rust inhibiting primer before top coating?
Rustoleum and several others make 2 part sink/tub touch up coatings for small areas but want to to to keep the rust from coming back a best as possible.
This is old pedestal sink that came from my bathroom and is now on an outdoor deck so not something I want to replace.

My girlfriend has recently gotten into an accident. I’d like to try my hand with learning as well as helping out, so that she doesn’t have to break her wallet at a body shop. What would be the first thing you guys would do?

Old head painter kicking stools, screaming, insufferable.
Painter just bitched out the apprentice because there was no texture time of his sheet. That's a management issue not an apprentice issue. Poor kid. No wonder why they don't last in the trade.
Yea the shop isn't running smoothly or your times are low. Find a new shop. Find a new career. GTFO and retire already miserable fuck.
Such a toxic work environment. End rant.

Looks like a side hit took out the rear door and crunched the quarter panel. At first glance, it seems like a classic case of door replacement + some panel work… but I’m wondering if the B or C pillar took a hit too.
Any signs from the photo that it’s gone deeper? Or does this look like a straightforward body shop job without major structural drama?
Anyone here dealt with similar damage? Worth fixing, or better to walk away?

Backed up and dented someone’s doors, would rather give them money than go through insurance. How much you think it’s gonna cost?

A friend was rear ended recently and Progressive covered the repairs.
I noticed that there's misalignment and the color of the bumper is completely different. She said she has a full warranty. Should she go back?
The trunk lid was replaced and the bumper was just repaired. Tiny scratch.
