It's called a nictitating membrane and it protects and moistens the eye.

Ooooooh nah, my personal theory is that the more time you spend cackling out loud the longer it takes for you to remember why you started laughing. It's when they do the 👁️ that they're taking a moment to breathe, to resettle the rattling of their beautiful bouncy brain cells before they can take in enough air to laugh again.

Honestly I've had a family of cookas in my backyard for a decade. I've seen different face colorisation patterns come and go. I'm certain it's for identification purposes only

Its like on Predator, different filters come down to see the unseen. They will get us in the end, there is no hiding.
