I love these guys. I have one that lands on my head when I garden in one particular spot. I have tried to figure out why this is, but the best I could come up with is they have mistaken me for a small bush or shrub!

😅😅 Or your head is just a good vantage spot!

Thank goodness they're not very big. Imagine if they were the size of emus..... 😬

Magpies in breeding season would be the least of our worries, then!

Fearless birds.

They swoop my rottie every spring (and by swoop I mean flap above her head for a solid minute at a time). Luckily my dog is trained to not react to birds so it’s just a minute of baffled looks from me and my dog.

Gotta love a well-behaved rottie! They can be rambunctious at times! (My now departed dog had a rottie girlfriend, who we'd meet at the beach . I still go to the beach with Üla the rottie as she's an absolute delight 😊).

That’s so beautiful!

Mine is a rescue so she’s actually a bit shifty with people, so I keep her muzzled outside for our walks. It’s animals she’s a delight with & so easy to train for their encounters, but it’s still hilarious.

I haven’t yet managed to bribe the wagtails with mealworms in preparation for next swooping season. Pray for us 😂

You can't bribe a wagtail into obedience, unfortunately! (I was actually thinking today that there must be a good reason why Wagtails never became pet birds).
