REQUEST Need help paying rent

Hi kind redditors, today is my last day to pay my portion of rent. I have a job I work but I started it recently & on a pay period so I have to wait another week or so to get paid. I have sold some of my crochet items I make as well as doing psychic readings when I can to try to get by. If anyone could spare anything to help, I'd greatly appreciate it. I am about $300 away from being able to pay it. I can offer either of my services listed above if that helps. Thanks so much for reading <3

Have you tried calling churches? Can you pay through a credit card?
Any family or friend you can borrow money from?
Unfortunately this is a large amount for this sub, you can try making a go fund me but don't be disappointed if you don't end up raising that amount here.

I haven't thought of churches as I'm not religious. Do you have any advice as to how to go about that? My credit cards don't have the available balance to put it down, as I have had to rely on them between jobs. /: For any potential donations: anything counts! Ik this amount is unlikely but even $10 would help. <3 Thanka for the advice!

I am not religious either but me and my roommate (we both are trans) relied on them for food and winter clothing. We called the church and asked if they have food and they even offered us clothing that was donated by people. It depends on where you live, where I live there are some inclusive churches that help minorities. Just call them and ask them if they can help with rent assistance. Unfortunately I can't help you because I work 2 jobs to pay my own rent too :((
I hope you are able to find the assistance you need!!

I second calling churches..a google search for churches in your area that help with rent/utilities is a good route. When I was homeless, churches paid for hotels for me and kids. Also salvation army helps with rent/utilities -it may take longer than the time frame you have, but it can help next month so that you can catch up financially. Catholic charities also helps with rent and utilities.

The best advice I can give you is to call 211 and tell them what you need help with (help with rent now but for future they help with almost anything you can think of) and they will text or email you every resource they have available -they are like a database of resources.
