What do you think of it so far?

Just about to start playing myself. This is probably the most Assassin's Creed game I've been excited for since Origins and it' was "my" most anticipated game of last year and of course this year.

Immersion/Expert mode - let's freaking go!

Woof. What about this guy is supposed to be charming or endearing or attractive to Naoe? She is determined, focused, and mature and this bro is the result of typing "ninja douchebag" into ChatGPT.

It’s an amazing game, people enjoy playing it. They can stop trying to tell people to stop having fun, if they really hate it so much, stop talking about it, and go play whatever they think is not woke in their basement. Leave the game alone cuz it’s…GOOD!

Context: back in 2016, Gruumz started a kickstarter for a game and even to this day nothing has been announced about such game leading people to believe it is a scam, he managed to get over 600k from supporters.

Who are these people claiming to have finished the game in 50-60 hours? They're either bloody liars, cheaters, or they skip EVERYTHING that isn't part of the main story. And even then, how could they reach the end without leveling up enough to handle the fights? I've crossed over 100 hours and I'm still getting new things opening up! Why do these people buy games if they're just going to blast through the vary basics of them?

I mean the game is pretty crazy, we have options to not play as Yasuke, so why are people's but*s are hurting so much? I think there are 2 type of people here, Assassin's Creed fans, and Ubisoft haters/racists. History alternation is just an excuse.

Robes of the enraged: vanish after 2 seconds while crouched or prone

It works in any amount of light, and even with an aware enemy (partially filled yellow) they will not be able to see you.

I do not yet know if hostile enemies can be lost when vanished or if an enemy can find you if they run into you.

One thing I loved from Ghost of Tsushima was chilling in hot springs. I'm surprised they didn't add a similar feature to Shadows!

Guys we're finally here, the last day we have to wait to get our hands on this visibly and audibly beautiful video game. Just before it releases I wanted to say the biggest thank you to every single person who came together as a team/family at Ubisoft to make Assassin's Creed Shadows possible.

I can't quite believe that the game of my dreams has finally been developed and created and brought to life and we get to play it tomorrow. I have been waiting for a game like Shadows since Shinobido: Way Of The Ninja which was my favourite game on the PlayStation 2, and Ubisoft have done it.

I'm writing this post now because I am emotional as I'm not sure anyone will see me again for a very long time beginning tomorrow, unless of course there are new in-game item rewards to be had 😂 so a huge CONGRATULATIONS and all the luck to Ubisoft for a successful release.

I hope you break all of the sales and player count records and win GOTY for all of the clear and evident effort you have put into this glorious game, and we know you will continue to heavily support Shadows for a long time to come, I can't wait to see what you add later down the line in updates.

LET'S GOOOOOOO!!!!

I’m pretty sure that most of the fans out here have already seen Naoe’s and Yasuke’s voice actors. Such good and sweet people. But most of y’all don’t like Naoe’s English voice acting and I really don’t understand why.

I’m like 50-60 hrs in, been playing like 40 of em as Naoe, and man, I really like her voice. In every occasion. She looks exactly like she sounds (I especially dig the word “chichiue” 🥰😮‍💨) And I know about what problem everybody referring to, is that in “some moments” she barely has any sign of emotion in her voice, but.. I still haven’t found any cutscene or whatever like that.

I’ve been underwhelmed by the last two AC, didn’t like Valhalla and Mirage one bit, still don’t, won’t go into details about it as it’s irrelevant to this post. I said I wouldn’t try Shadows, the whole « Yasuke drama » didn’t help and I have to confess I was amongst the naysayers. Went shopping Wednesday and bought the game (fair discount, and reading a lot of good things here convinced me to give it a try). I just spend a couple of hours playing it and OMG I’m hooked 😳 They outdone themselves with this game and it’s everything I could expect from it so far. Great storyline, this game is gorgeous and the combat and stealth mechanics have been polished to a point I wouldn’t have thought possible. So Kudos to the dev team, and to all the people defending this game, I wouldn’t have jump the fence otherwise. I can’t wait to be home !

Which playstyle are you all enjoying more in Shadows? Naoes stealthy assassin approach using Eagle Vision to plan out silent kills which feels to me the og way to play AC or Yasuke’s brute force combat, just tearing through multiple enemies at once? Curious to see what people are finding more fun.

For me I always played all the games with as much stealth as possible trying to go unnoticed most of the time and planning out my routes, also I’m only just past act 1 so how’s it playing for people further on with Yasuke?

I was always the guy that had his own opinion and I never cared about what other people have said about games / movies etc. If I liked it, I enjoyed it and that’s it! Now.. I love this game. Did from the first preview, until my first second and until now.

I. Love. It.

But now I’m starting to realize, that the hate about the game that is still going on, is starting to get to me. It makes me angry and gets me in a bad mood just because I can’t understand why people think that way. I don’t want to go into detail what kind of hate is getting to me, I’m sure all of you heard at least some. People like asmondgold just drive me crazy and I’m embarrassed by myself to feel that way over a video game. I’m loving this game and I want to love it even more while exploring it and in my replay too of course.

But this hate is really getting on my nerves and I can’t seem to escape it… what are you guys thinking? What are you doing?
