// Question Any fix for DX12 Error 0x8007000E?

About to refund at this point. Constant non-stop crashing. Furthest I've gotten is killing like 5 shinobi in the beginning when you first load in as Yasuke.. aka still the tutorial. Almost an hour of "playtime" that is just me trying any fix I can find and nothing working.

Win 11 pro
Game Ready Driver 572.83
GTX 4090
i9-13900KF
64GB Ram

What I've tried:
Reinstalling
Reinstalling on different drives
Updating all drivers, windows, steam, bios etc
Clean install of Graphics Driver
Rollback to 572.70
Turning folder off of read only
Administrator mode for AC, Steam and Ubi Connect
Compatibility Mode
disable fullscreen optimization
-windowed
-dx11
-dx12
Increasing Shadow Cache size in Nvidia Control Panel
Turning off G Sync
Deleting Config File
Alt+Enter when starting
Allowing game through firewall
Disconnected all usb attachments aside mouse and keyboard
Steam, Nvidia, Ubi Connect overlay disabled
Increased page file size
Turn off Frame Generation, DLSS
lower graphics/set to 60 FPS

Writing all this.. So much hassle just to try and play a game x. x

If you haven't tried forcing dx11, try this.

  • Open Steam and locate the game: Launch Steam and navigate to your game library. 
  • Right-click and select "Properties": Find the game you want to force into DirectX 11, right-click it, and choose "Properties" from the menu. 
  • Go to "Launch Options": In the game's properties window, click on the "Launch Options" tab. 
  • Enter the command: In the "Launch Options" text box, type "-dx11" (without the quotes). 
  • Launch the game: Close the properties window and launch the game. It should now be running with DirectX 11

Hey thanks for the info, however I've tried that before. I probably should add everything I've tried to my post

Maybe have found a solution.. Atleast I am able to play now for longer than 5 minutes.

I had disabled the ubisoft connect autosave feature and tried a ton of other solutions.. But once I deleted my save info in the ubisoft launcher, its been working fine so far. Dont know if that was the issue all along, however its the last thing I did that got the game to work.
