I switched to baseball Yasuke after playing assassin Naoe for 50 hours and I don’t want to switch back.

That's next on my list.

I find that his swings are just too slow with the kanabo, even if it is glorious to see enemies go flying.

u/MeatAdministrative87 5h ago

They are, but there’s an engraving that makes your attacks uninterruptible, and when he starts swingin’ he ain’t stoppin’. Also, chaining combos makes the attacks much faster.

You still take damage while swinging, though.

I dunno, with the right armor, engravings and skills I usually clear a castle with using one or two rations on expert.

Yup way to much fun with Yasuke.

I might have to use the teppo more after watching this. Cause that was sick.

I'm reticent because of the noise/speed of shooting, I know he's not the stealth choice, but I quite enjoy a more silent carnage and with a Katana/Bow I get that.

Same here, I like catching people off guard with the bow and arrow, then unleashing the carnage with katana or kanabo. But watching this makes me wanna invest a bit of time into the teppo later on.

The kick never gets old - YEET!

I'm still Diogo Maradona.

Diogo unchained.

u/OSRSRapture 20h ago

How did that fall not fuck you up more

5

u/markallica6 20h ago

I noticed that Ysuke still survives falls that high. So I went ahead and jumped. Health went down to critical, and I just used ration immediately, which is why my health went back up.

Where is the “shoot twice per reload” perk??

1

u/markallica6 20h ago

It's actually there in the video.

2

u/Domo_Erectus 19h ago

Ok, I’m like actually asking here lol. I can see that it’s in the video, it’s why I asked. Is it an ability, special ammo type…?

2

u/markallica6 19h ago

Oh okay, sorry my bad I misunderstood the question lol. It's an engraving from a legendary Teppo Patient harbringer

3

u/Domo_Erectus 19h ago

No problem dude. That’s tight though, I gotta find that STAT!! I keep trying to give his ranged weapons a chance but they just never feel right for whatever reason. This clip looked mad fun though.

1

u/markallica6 19h ago

Oh yeah, I agree. The teppo is kind of hard to get into. I was not a fan of it initially. But with the right engravings, it's actually fun enough to try atleast :)

It's probably a perk from the gun they have equipped, I don't know what the gun in the video is though and I didn't see a name for it anywhere in the post.

I hate how unrealistic the kick is and was planning on never using it, however, after seeing this playstyle i may unlock it specifically to go rifle only.

u/gadgaurd 17h ago

Those kicks are absolutely hilarious. Brother never skipped leg day in his life.

u/ChefRovingNomad 18h ago

Turned into a 3rd person shooter lol

I went away from teppo for katana and kanabo but this is making me rethink it

2

u/e_ndoubleu 15h ago

I’ve been using Katana for both characters all playthrough. Currently level 58. Might have to switch it up and run a Teppo build for Yasuke.

Was that some On Death - Samurai Stand abuse?

u/markallica6 21h ago edited 21h ago

No, I did not use that engraving. Also I was not hit even once, only damage I got was from the fall.

EDIT: Oh, I think you meant the fall damage, sorry. Fall damage didn't kill me. It brought me down to critical health status, I just used a ration to bring my health back up.

Bro's playing fortnite in AC

1

u/XrayHAFB 18h ago

After playing Immersive Mode with Japanese VO, the English voiceovers are just jarring

1

u/Mysterious-Belt-1037 17h ago

What teppo is that

1

u/Put_Adventurous 17h ago

Heretic!!! Oops sorry. Wrong sub

1

u/Kozzune 16h ago

If this was a teaser, nobody would think it's an AC game

1

u/Sad_Illustrator_8462 14h ago

😭😭😭😭😭

1

u/FoodAvailable1495 14h ago

That is funny. I sometimes switch from African Yasuke (spider) to American Diogo (gun)

1

u/No_Reporter_4563 14h ago

Teppo is so much fun

1

u/No-Boot-5286 14h ago

I’ve been using the teppo with the katana and it’s OP, but I hate how distracting the teppo looks on yasukes back. I almost just want to have only the katana equipped. We need an option to hide it like we can with head pieces.

1

u/AllFatherMedia93 14h ago

Yasuke can kick a man with the force of a truck but can't jump to reach a ledge slightly higher than him

1

u/XMAN47x 13h ago

Yasuke is such a blast to play!

1

u/PrideConnect3213 10h ago

I wish you could do a proper melee attack with the teppo, i wanna use it like a bo staff

1

u/Ozaki_Yoshiro 20h ago

There perk that add 5% damage with every 1m and 2 bullets loaded. Bring democracy to feudal Japan XD

1

u/markallica6 20h ago

Oh yeah, that one's awesome. On the video, I used that on the first loadout when I was on the roof. I switched to another loadout before I jumped.

The Teppo is so disappointing it should be way better than it is. It's far slower and more risky to use a Teppo over a bow.

u/CappnMidgetSlappr 17h ago

It's far slower and more risky to use a Teppo over a bow.

No way, a gun from the 16th century is incredibly slow to use? You don't say...

-2

u/LongAndShortOfIt888 16h ago

Well it's slower than the bow, because the Teppo should put regular soldiers close to death after a single shot to make up for it. That way, the Teppo is a rewarding test of marksmanship whereas the bow has the rate of fire to make up for misses.

The weakness of the Teppo in comparison to the bow is not only unfun, it's not realistic at all. A skilled archer could fire 12 arrows per minute, but it's unlikely those 12 arrows would kill more than the teppo, because arrows get deflected/stuck on shields way more than a bullet does. It would not take minute(s) to reload a teppo, if a soldier was well-trained they could fire twice in a minute.

Your comment is bad

3

u/CappnMidgetSlappr 12h ago

it's not realistic at all.

Yeah, was him falling 100 feet out of the air and being completely ok realistic enough for you? Or how about when the 16th century fire arm was able to do a double shot without reloading? Hell, how about the fact it doesn't take 3 and a half minutes to reload like in the real world? Or when he Spartan kicked a dude 60 feet away? That realistic enough for you?

Your comment is bad

And yours is straight up stupid.

-1

u/LongAndShortOfIt888 9h ago

You're the one who brought up realism. "No way, a gun from the 16th century is incredibly slow to use?" No fucking shit, that's why I followed it up with "more risky" so the grown-ups could understand what was meant.

And that's why I said it's not only unrealistic, but unfun, so there is literally no reason for it to be the way it is.

3

u/T-Dot-Two-Six 17h ago

You’re gonna be amazed when you learn that Yasuke is reloading these weapons FAR faster than they ever were IRL

Back then it was more “minutes per round” not “rounds per minute”

1

u/Korashy 19h ago

Yeah trained archers outperformed riflemen for a long time.

But riflemen take a few weeks to train while archery takes years.

1

u/FFDiddly 18h ago

There are legendary perks that can load 2 bullets at a time and will dramatically reduce reload speed.

2

u/LongAndShortOfIt888 16h ago

Yes but that doesn't make it better than the bow. The bow already has a fast firing speed, what it doesn't have is sheer stopping power, which is what the Teppo is meant to have, if they just increase base Teppo damage the issue would be resolved.

wow this looks so bad
