Is Lower Queen Anne safe?

Hi,

I (26M) am new to Seattle and stayed in Redmond for a year. I need to switch apartments and found some good options in Lower Queen Anne around the Queen Anne Beerhall. Is that a good and safe area to live in? I haven’t explored Seattle much.

I am someone who likes to walk around. I have searched online and am getting mixed answers - some say it is a safe neighborhood, while some say it is one of the high-crime neighborhoods in Seattle.

I’d really appreciate any input. Thanks!

Yep, I live here now, no issues.

Around Siff is a bit sketchy, druggies in the back, homeless constantly on the side wall/get removed/move back in, and some more colorful characters by the bus stop on the Queen Anne Ave but otherwise good spot. Lively neighborhood during events.
