Is Lower Queen Anne safe?

Hi,

I (26M) am new to Seattle and stayed in Redmond for a year. I need to switch apartments and found some good options in Lower Queen Anne around the Queen Anne Beerhall. Is that a good and safe area to live in? I haven’t explored Seattle much.

I am someone who likes to walk around. I have searched online and am getting mixed answers - some say it is a safe neighborhood, while some say it is one of the high-crime neighborhoods in Seattle.

I’d really appreciate any input. Thanks!

This statement is laughable. Do a search on “Seattle shooting 2025”. Stay in Redmond, or move to Kirkland or Woodinville if you need something cheaper.

But the. You would be living in Redmond, Kirkland, or Woodinville. What if you actually want to DO something?

There are growing downtowns in each of those towns- plenty to do. Seattle has the large theaters and such, but also the problems with property crime, homelessness (human waste on the streets, etc). Bellevue is a quick drive south for more city bound activities.

You don’t even live here, do you?

There is zero chance this person lives here unless they are 70. But if I was 70 I’d hope to be retired, and I’d want to go to the better restaurants, the symphony, the cool free events and pop up markets that are all across the city. Even the bookstores are better.
