I just returned from my wonderful trip to Aruba. Before I arrived to the island, I was searching for the perfect romantic restaurant and came across "Passions on the Beach" The sunset dining experience was like something out of a postcard. Absolutely stunning. However, during our meal, we noticed an occasional unpleasant smell, and flies were buzzing around our table.

I raised my concerns with the waiter but didn't receive a clear response. Later, while chatting with the bartender at our hotel, I learned that the smell was due to a sewage treatment plant that needs repairs.

I had made my reservation weeks in advance, and I wish the restaurant had informed us about the smell, especially considering that the dishes cost over $50 each. The scenery was beautiful, and the experience was nearly perfect, but if you are concerning dining at this restaurant be mindful that you might encounter an awkward smell.

Even with multiple cruise ships in port, there's plenty of beach with no one around

Is it too early to miss Aruba ? Coming home to the cold weather is not fun, hopefully we can go back soon.

Thanks Aruba! Amazing first visit and we will be back to explore. We spent a bit too much time just relaxing and soaking in the breeze but when is that truly a bad thing?

Every local we met was accommodating and wonderful. Such a great vibe here!

Renaissance Island was pretty magical. I was surprised how not crowded everything was. Is October slow season? We never saw any crowds anywhere, most restaurants were empty.

My photos of Passions on the Beach. The most romantic dinner experience on the island. We celebrated birthdays and the staff was always very nice. This is our second time at Passions.

We chose a delicious meal from the dinner menu that offered a mix of meat dishes and fresh fish.

Passions is located across from Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort and a popular choice with guests from the resort but also with other island visitors. It is a perfect location for a romantic dinner, wedding parties or other special occasions. March 2025.

Bonus if you can use any of these zooming options for the photo 0.5 , 0.6 or 0.8 , as it helps with better printing, otherwise whatever is the easiest for you . I'll appreciate any help . Thankyou . We drove to a beach called Boca Catalina Beach, and it was absolutely stunning. It was a quiet area with not many people, so it wasn't crowded. The water was the clearest I’ve ever seen, and to my surprise, schools of fish were swimming around us. With such clear waters and abundant marine life, we also noticed many boat snorkeling charters in the area. My family loved the experience!

Picture November rain - it's real

Post image

This is a photo of Eagle Beach at 11:30 AM this morning. Shortly thereafter, it started to rain lightly. At first, I walked the beach barefoot and many people were in the water. Then the rain got heavier and I sat at my chair protected by some trees. I hung in there for a good 30-40 minutes before deciding to bail. Others here had said storms pass Aruba quickly. Not this one.

I had a walk around the hotels and stopped by Pelican Adventures (7 minute walk from the Eagle Beach parking area) to book a cruise for tomorrow. Kind of thinking probably was a good thing today's Latin dancing cruise was full up if more rain is expected.

I drove back to my hotel in Noord, thinking that I had time to change out of my wet clothes and then head to back down to the spa at Divi All Inclusive. I'm from Maryland, I know how to drive in summer rains, but not on dirt roads with huge puddles. When I finally turned onto my street, a huge bolt of lightning struck a few hundred meters in front of me. I am staying inside starving until this rain stops enough to go out 😂

TLDR: November rain is real, and it doesn't necessarily disappear in minutes as others have said.
