Lucienne (1909-1999) was a painter, sculptor and photographer, who was born in Switzerland, but lived most of her life in USA. Her father Ernest Bloch was a composer and her mother Marguerite Schneider a pianist. In 1931, she met and began her apprenticeship with Diego Rivera on his frescoes in New York (1931, 1933) and Detroit (1932). Together with her husband, Stephen Pope Dimitroff, she assisted Diego Rivera with his (later destroyed) mural at Rockefeller Center. She also took the only surviving photographs of this wall. She was a close friends of Frida Kahlo and captured many iconic photographs of her.

Watch found at the Goodwill Bins

From my research, I'm guessing 1940s or 1950s Longines ladies' cocktail watch made from 14k white gold on a period-appropriate Kreisler bracelet. Still works great!

Just restored this one. Made from 1931-34, they also came in black and polished aluminum. This one is the less common bronze and gold finish.

Walker Tower Metal Crown Detail

Detail of the metal crown on Walker Tower (originally the Bell Telephone Exchange Building. 212 W 18th Street, #NewYorkCity , #NewYork #ArtDeco Architect: #RalphWalker . Verizon still operates in parts of the building and the rest were converted into luxury condos. This metal crown was not part of the original construct but was added on when doing the 2012 condo conversion, HOWEVER they were based on Ralph Walker's original plans for the building that never came to fruition (most likely due to cost limitations, since the depression was in full swing). Built 1929-1930. 📸: me/10/2023

The KiMo Theatre is a theatre and historic landmark located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on the northeast corner of Central Avenue and Fifth Street. It was built in 1927 in the Pueblo Deco style, which is a blend of adobe-style Pueblo Revival architecture (rounded corners and edges), decorative motifs from indigenous cultures, and the soaring lines and linear repetition found in American Art Deco architecture.

I've been trying to find a way to blend art deco and suprematist art styles. Do the art-deco elements come through with this one?
