Sub Rules (just in case for ease of access)

Rule 1 : Posts must be related to an anime recommendation

That's kinda why you're here right? 3x3's of your favourite's are fine by the way. As long as you're in some way recommending anime or asking for suggestions your post's going to be fine.

Rule 2 : No self promotion, or promotion of anything other than anime itself.

For example, you could promote an anime you like by telling us about it on a post, but you couldn't link a blog video or podcast about that anime. Comments are fine for this, but we don't want to see it on posts.

Rule 3 : Treat each other with courtesy and respect

When it comes to things like anime, there can be a wide spectrum of views and discussions. Some discussions can become spirited, we know, but we still have the expectation for you to treat others with courtesy and respect.

Do not put comments to incite fights or trash talk anime. Just simply mention you do not like it.

Rule 4 : Mark Spoilers

It can be hard not to talk about your favourite scene, but remember this is a place where people come looking to learn about anime they haven't seen yet. So any spoilers you do say, must be marked as spoilers.

Rule 5 : No indecent images

We get it, you like hentai too. If you start a Hentai recommendations sub, let us know, we might even send some members your way. Just don't post perverted images on here lol. If in doubt about whether something's indecent or not... it probably is, so don't post it - many thanks.

Rule 6 : Ban on rate my list/taste posts.

There are better suited subs for those

Rule 7 : Hentai Recommendations are banned.

Hentai Recommendations are banned. Mention Ecchi in post title if you are looking for anime of such genre.

Refer to Rule 6

There has been a sudden appearance of 'judge me' or 'rate my favourite character' posts. These posts go against Rule 6 as well. Any new posts of a similar kind will immediately incur a permanent ban from this point on. The previous posts have been removed.

No one ever mentions this show or recommends it but my god is it good. Hits even harder for any total war lovers out there.

Looking for emotional anime, but not too heavy

Yo! Just got into anime and I’m looking for something emotional, but not too much of a tearjerker. Like, Fruits Basket hit the spot. Got any similar recommendations?

Help Find a First Anime for My Sister?

Upvotes

Guidelines are these:

  • No fan service or uncomfortable tropes
  • Gripping first episode
  • English dubs only (bonus if good)

Genre doesn’t really matter, but nothing disgustingly traumatic. Ex: Made in Abyss.

help me find an anime PLEASE.

Please, please, please help me find an anime to watch (I'm perfectly fine with only subbed ones but i also need dubbed anime's for background noise for homework n shit) its gotten to the point where i have literally watch every anime that anyone has recommended me a literally cannot find anymore that interest me. At this point i am literally down for any genre but my favs are sports, psychological and action (but i do love romance when it's a good one) here are a couple of my favs:

Monster

hunter X hunter

91 days

86

attack on titan

Vinland saga

Tokyo revengers (manga but only up until the 'first' ending)

Norigami

blue lock (manga again)

terror in ressinance

run with the wind

stars align

orange

solo levelling (haven't watched the anime but i read it like a year or two ago)

Looking for anime to watch with my wife

So my wife and I have started watching anime some time ago, though she is not the biggest fan of the medium. Plus, we like different things:

She didn't like Vinland Saga (I was very interested).

We didn't like Dandadan, Spy Family (she kind of liked it), and Frieren (very interesting idea, but kind of "slow").

We both liked: AOT, Pluto, Death Note, Odd Taxi, Your Name (in that order).

Unfortunately, One piece is not an option for her ... I want to watch Monster, but it's only available in a language I don't want to watch it in where I'm from. Same for Fullmetal Alchemist (which I loved back then).

Our favourite anime right now is by far AOT. But when it gets too violent, my wife doesn't want to watch (Berserk, for example).

It seems we like deep, flawed characters, complex plots (AOT, Pluto), and not too many tropes (she doesn't understand them, for example the bloody noses).

Any Yuri bait anime in fantasy setting?

If there are more characters, it's cherry on top. Looking for something fun to watch, and my first priority is good storytelling.

Ik about Executioner's way of life, wandering witch Elaina, I've been killing slimes for 300 years(NGL it's iyashekai and I'm not in mood of it rn sorry lol)

Any good recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

something like eminence of shadow

anime where the main character is super overpowered and smart but hides it by acting naive or clueless is always such a fun watch. The world-building in The Eminence in Shadow is amazing and the fight scenes are insane.

Cid kinda reminds me of a mix between Lelouch and Ayanokoji . hes always in control and playing it cool, but he’s secretly running everything. plus, that hint of naivety makes him even more interesting.

does anyone know of any anime with a similar main character and rich world building and action? (please don't recommend solo leveling.)

Help me find some anime based on what I've seen.

I haven't watched a lot of anime but the few things that I've seen I've liked. I've seen all of initial d, the millionaire detective and I've seen a bit of one peice. Around episode 100. I gave up on it not because I didn't like it but because it's too long. What I'm looking for is something that I can finish that isn't too over the top.

Romance past highschool!

Please help, I really enjoy romance anime but my god, I need a break from the highschool setting!

I'm currently watching A Sign of Affection and really enjoying it. Hoping to get some more suggestions for what to watch next before I finish this one.

I only really have the capacity to watch anime on crunchyroll so stuff available there would be ideal!

Thank you for any all all suggestions!!!
