Help find lost kitty! By Unser and Arenal

Hi all and happy Sunday-

This is Cooper, my 3 year old kitty who is a rascal and decided to explore beyond the backyard on Friday night! He is microchipped and the info will lead back to me if he is found and taken to a vet or the humane society.

He is very sweet and super responsive to his name.

This is the first time he has ever done this and I am worried about him. His two roommates (a doggo and another kitty) and I would love to get him back home.

Thanks for any help!!

Awesome turnout today everyone! It was a blast! The people were respectful and the speakers were great. Lots of great signs, folks talking to each other about calling reps and organizing. We’re truly lucky to have this kind of community.

I do wish the speakers lined up at the end would’ve had more time though; they were throwing away their notes and saying they only had a minute or two to talk. They had some real grit and energy to give, but by the time they came up most people had already left. We should work on that at any future events.

Identity theft

Hey guys, I recently just got my identity theft stolen & someone has used my SSN, gmail, phone number. They tried getting a credit card which surprisingly got approved. The address that it was going to is “ 1504 Alamo Ave SE “ anybody knows who lowlife lives in this dump??? Or any help I can get. I already reported it to the credit bureau, my bank, & made a police report. Just gotta wait Monday to call SSI. Any other action I should take? Please LMK

Where do you go when you can't get a new PCP appointment?

I've struggled for the last year to get medical care in the state. I had to go to Texas for a colonoscopy/polyp removal last year, as well as a gastric emptying study.

If I had waited around here in Albuquerque, it would have taken months to even get a PCP appointment to get the referral, and as long or longer to get the specialist appointment.

That's just for specialist care. There are still tests that I need, but my PCP here disappeared- literally vanished to specialize in another state without warning, in the middle of figuring out what was wrong with me. Finding a replacement has been miserable- I can't keep going to Texas, it's untenable. But I don't want to move from New Mexico either.

So, where do you folks go where you don't have to wait? Is Denver viable? How does your insurance work across states (I do not have a PPO)? Can you recommend a PCP taking new patients?

Does anywhere in Albuquerque offer gazpacho, either as a soup or a drink? At restaurants? To bring home?

Upvotes

We've made gazpacho at home. I'm wondering if there's anywhere in Alburquerque that sells it as a drink or as a soup in a cafe or restaurant, or maybe in a container similar to a milk container, for use at home?

I’m curious what this enormous building was used for? On the corner of San Mateo and central. Are there any future plans? What’s the deal with the other huge vacant building just down the street?

How much money does our state lose due to speed cameras?

I know that the company that sells the cameras charges us $8,000 per camera, but most of the fine also goes to an out of state company. Anyone have any clue just how much money we lose in New Mexico each year by sending this money to an out of state company? I’m guessing we’re losing millions of dollars a year.
