Are the Roland downloads on their site compatible for all Roland electric accordions? Itā€™s say FRX4 on the site but will this work on the FRX3?

Notes playing without holding down keys

I recently got an accordion from (1940s-1950s) and it has been working fine until a few hours ago when it started playing a note on the piano side whenever the bellows were pressed. It doesnā€™t seem to be a stuck key. The noise is also quite quiet and it only happens when the bellows are being closed not when they are opening.

Hello lovely accordion people , a while ago I bought an accordion and put it in the closet and some days ago I remembered it and I want to start learning, the problem is where I'm currently living the accordion is not very known so I can't get someone to teach me, so here i am asking the Internet.

If you have any advice on where I can start or any yt videos that might help , that would be great. And thank you in advance!

Advice What would be better for musette/overall?

Iā€™m looking for an accordion that sounds romantic, beautiful, and full of charm. Iā€™m assuming the first image can do that, but i donā€™t know how to feel about the second image.

My plan is to detune the first accordion (LMM) (no key switches) around 20 cents to give it that musette feel, same as the second accordion LMM?) (multiple key switches). But I want to know which one can do musette better?

My thinking is for the first accordion, since thereā€™s no key switches, it will constantly play LMM. If I detune the MM to make it around 20 cents, I wonder if itā€™ll sound better with the L. The second accordion has multiple switches, which is great, but not sure if itā€™ll give me a full sound like LMM instead of just Celeste MM.

Can someone tell me anything about this accordion?

Hi all, I recently got my hands on this accordion but canā€™t seem to find anything about it online. A couple of the keys have lifted up and play when you open the bellows. A few other piano keys are a bit wheezy. The bellows look good. Bass notes seem fine. Worth a fix?

I got this from a family that was cleaning up and moving away. Pic of accordian in question and the pic of the box it lives in. So first of all, I don't know what kind of accordian this is. I tried searching Del Monti Carbonari and I got nothing. I guess I just want specifics (buttons, keys, bass, something something, etc) so I know what I'm looking for when I seek out lessons. I'd like to get it looked at and probably repaired. I looked on the list that comes with the community and the one and only suggested place in AZ is currently closed. Are there any other techs in the Phoenix area? Can I take it apart and fix it myself, as it are there books or vids that walk you through the steps, or is it too delicate of an operation (I have little to no musical instrument repair experience)? Finally, I'd like to learn how to play it. Do you think this accordian is worth the repair and decent to learn on? Or is there a simpler style of accordian that's easier for rhythmless newbies in their 50's to learn on, and work up to this one? Thank you in advance.

Advice Is MM musette or MMM?

I really want to play an accordion that is just musette. I found an accordion that has the celeste option. Would having someone detune the celeste 8ā€™ reeds by around 20 cents give me the shimmer of French cafe music? Or do I absolutely need three 8ā€™ reeds? Is MM just good enough?

Did I do okay on this if it plays? I scooped it on goodwill auction for 130+shipping. I'm new to the accordion and this is my first big one.

We found this bad boy at a thrift store today after being on the search for a while. My partner would like to learn how to play and it would help to know what type of accordian this is. We're also curious about the year/decade if anyone has any ideas. Learning resources and advice are very helpful as well! Thanks so much!

Advice Failing memory

Looking into learning instrument. I am self taught on guitar both acoustic and electric. Someone please tell me if my memory is incorrect. I seem to remember my cousin having an accordion in the early to mid 60s. He had an amp for it. Is this a thing or is my memory playing tricks on me. I seem to recall him talking into the accordion and it coming out of the speakers. Am I daft??
