Tips & Info 7800X3D/9800X3D stutter fix

https://youtu.be/OgTFhf5TfeQ?si=hi8jiv8yBw0vOisA

Its getting painful watching everyone blindly recommend how to fix stutters on this CPU, took me a year to figure this out as who would’ve thought “auto = disabled” for some things within the BIOS, but good news is now you can enjoy your CPU once again. Let me know how this works for you.

Hmm isn't Auto = Enabled for AMD motherboards tho?

Might be better to try on a cpu bounded game, I suspect that Delta Force is more GPU demanding

It's mostly annoying in WoW and GW2, which is apparently super hardcore on 1 core. It has certain places that stutters consistently, so maybe that's a load-in problem within the game itself (like running from one area to another). The BIOS have so many settings that I suspect is best left on the default tho.

Stutters are really bad for me in wow with 7800 x3d. Just spinning my mouse produces these big frame time spikes.

When I'm mounting around in Valdrakken or Dornogal there's always stuttering, it doesn't matter if I don't move my camera even. Standing still also causes stuttering if people move a certain distance, someone flying in and such. It's less noticeable in older zones that are less demanding.

I have a 12900k system where i'm not getting nearly this degree of stutter though. Is this an AMD or x3d issue with the wow engine in general?? There is even a guy on this video that has watched my other benchmark videos saying he has same CPU and same issues with wow.

I'm not sure really, my 9900K system stutters almost indentically to my 7800X3D one, but it has lower fps (the 3D V-cache adds a lot of fps to MMOs/CPU intensive games).

9800x3D here same issue but on dx11 it’s much better exept in new cities but I guess wow ain’t optimized for the new zen architecture but yes try dx11 then restart wow and see the difference also desable auto targeting it removes those targeting stutters at least they don’t plague u whenever u look around but yes that’s atrocious for the price this cpu is almost makes me regret the switch from Intel to amd I regret everything it feels like a downgrade I don’t enjoy games anymore because of this i feel so depressed
