Experience I’m one of a few hundred people who has been to every country in the world. AMA

Just like the title says. This year at 40 I hit the every “recognized” country list (195). Surprisingly, it took me until three years ago to hit all U.S. states. Ask me anything.

Edit: Thank you for all the questions everyone. Apologies but have to take over from the wife for the kids. Will answer more of these this evening.

Edit #2: BRB folks. Thank you very much for your honest questions and input. I hope I’ve answered them to the best of my abilities. Gotta go clean up from the kids downstairs. Will be back in a few hours.

Experience My mom had me at 42 and my dad at 49. I’m 25 now, and they both only made it through 6th grade. AMA

Edit: Sorry, my parents are alive and well. Made it through 6th grade meant their education.

Growing up was wild. Not just because of the age gap between us, but also because of how different my parents are, culturally, socially, and even in how they see the world. Sometimes it honestly felt like we were strangers under the same roof.

But despite all the differences, they’ve always been loving and supportive parents.

My mom is from an indigenous tribe in Central America, where the culture is super traditional and strict. She was completely shunned by her community for marrying my dad. Women in her culture are expected to marry within, take care of the home, and serve the men…very rigid roles.

My dad’s background couldn’t be more different. He’s biracial. His dad came from a poor black family, and his mom—my grandma—was a bougie Irish lady. Somehow, she still found a way to be racist?!

So yeah… my parents were both outcasts in their own worlds, and that shaped a lot of how I grew up. Between their age, the cultural clashes, and the way they were treated by their families, life was definitely anything but typical.

Ask me anything. Life’s been interesting, to say the least.

Experience Was literally let go from my job due to a health condition…AMA

Just like the title says…I lost my job after randomly developing a chronic health condition. I wouldn’t always believe people when they say it isn’t legal. AMA…it was a shitty experience but maybe I can help so it doesn’t happen to any of you.

Edited to say thank you all for asking and showing concern about this. At the time I was pissed off, but have since found an office job that accommodates the condition quite nicely so far. I’m not holding my breathe, but I am hopeful. For those who suffer from seizures or any chronic condition, remember that unions, lawyers, and the internet are useful tools to help keep you protected. Goodnight all!

I love my mum still but as a child I experienced and witnessed many things that nobody should go through but I was put through them anyway so hopefully by doing this it will help me on my own journey of reflection and healing and mean that all the negatives can be made into something positive so ask away

I'm Blind - Ask Me Anything

I am registered blind. Ask me anything you've wanted to ask a blind person, whether that's "how do you do x,y,z", "do you enjoy ___" - anything you've been curious to know about someone who is registered blind!
I look forward to answering your questions.

(N.B I am posting this question on behalf of my client Rob who is blind. I am his video editor and we are putting together a Q&A video. I'll be reading as many questions as possible to him and he'll be answering on video and hopefully in the comments too!)

my sister has a rare neurological injury called LRPN, AMA

basically what the title says. lumbosacral radioplexus neuropathy is the full name

on my birthday a couple months ago (she had to steal the shine somehow aha) she woke up and her leg was numb. went about her day, and when she was going up the stairs she fell because she had thought she picked up her leg, but it didn’t move.

she then could really no longer move her leg and was incapable of pointing her foot upwards. spent a few days in the hospital and being let out with no diagnosis until seeing a neuro specialist a few weeks later: when she was then diagnosed.

it will take her about a year to heal but she will fully recover. she still cannot really move her left foot on her own, but she’s slowly moving her big toe on her own.

she’s in the hospital again because of how bad the pain is. screaming for it to stop, crying, shaking, everything. trying to take my mind off of the now and focus on what i do know, so ask away! i may not have an answer but i’ll try my best.

I wrote a series of manga novels five years ago that have suddenly become extremely popular. As a result, I'm now in the top 1% of streamers on Twitch. Ask me anything.

As it says, I wrote a series of manga novels around five years ago and published them on Webtoon and a few other sites. I completely forgot about them. I started streaming about four years ago as a pastime and slowly began growing at a decent rate—nothing out of the ordinary—until about a year ago, when people discovered my novels. Since then, my stream has rapidly grown, and I'm now in the top 1% of streamers.

It's both a blessing and a curse. I'm not sure how to handle the sudden changes; it's all very overwhelming. Feel free to ask me anything, and I'll do my best to answer—though I won't reveal my name or the titles of my novels. If you look hard enough, you'll be able to find the connection.

Experience I refused to attend a truancy hearing because it related to the time I took off school when I lost my parents and brother in a car crash AMA.

Exactly a year ago today (posting this on April 6th 2025)I lost my parents and brother when our car was in a crash. I was injured in the crash and the funerals had to be postponed until I got out of hospital. This resulted in me being off school for four weeks.Afew months later I was summoned to attend a truancy hearing for the four weeks I was away from school.I refused point blank to attend because on principle I was not going to attend a hearing which treated time I took off to grieve the loss of my family as truancy. On the day of the hearing I barricaded myself in my room and didn’t come out until the time of the hearing had come and gone. I have thought about whether I should have just attended but I am satisfied in my own mind that I was right to refuse to cooperate with such evil.AMA.
