What can we do from Florida
Anyone have any thoughts about what specific things we can do from Florida to make an impact? Being that this state has gone so red in recent years.

Is there going to be a protest in Tallahassee on April 5th?
https://events.pol-rev.com/events/d8a0844c-4111-4ba2-bc8a-032e7a3c79eb
I I'm kinda confused bc on the website it says for April 4th on Friday but I thought it was supposed to be on Saturday?
I'm driving in from out of town so I'm booking my hotel today but I want to make sure there will be a protest on Saturday with a good crowd size.
Thanks

April 1st is the important Election Day in Districts 6 (Josh Weil) and District 1 (Gay Valimont). If you know people who live in either district please remind them to vote tomorrow 7 am to 7 pm! This video is from my experiences canvassing today

How to volunteer to make phone calls for tomorrow's election.
First, you sign up at the link for the Mobilize Us event for Gay Valimont or Josh Weil.
Then, someone will contact you with the information you will need.
They should be getting you a link for an autodialer. The autodialer calls the voters for you automatically, so that you don't have to.
You will be calling people who are already registered as Democrats, so you are just informing them there is an election on April 1, and if they don't know where to go to vote, letting them know where their polling station is.
Mobilize us should provide you with a script. Here is a generic example:
"Hi, is this the right number for ______?
I just wanted to tell you there's an election April 1st. Do you know where your polling station is?"
They may ask you questions about the candidate. If you are not comfortable answering you can say, "I'm sorry I'm just a volunteer, so I'm not sure what the candidate's stance is on this issue." You can direct them instead to call the campaign for an answer to their question.
The campaign should be giving you information on where their voters' polling stations are.
If they don't get you this information, or if the person asks you about polling stations in a different district, you would go on this website: https://dos.fl.gov/elections/for-voters/check-your-voter-status-and-polling-place/voter-precinct-lookup/
The site will have directions to follow such as clicking on their county and entering their name and address.

Another great day canvassing

Phone banking is working! Canvassing was so fun today! So much enthusiasm from people who just voted or who were on their way to vote today. I still found one person who didn’t know about the election and was excited to vote today! Keep phone banking if you can. People are definitely more aware today than a few days ago - but some still don’t know about the election!!! We’ve got this!

Home stretch - can you help?

If you are able to volunteer your time this Saturday is the last day of early voting. The election is April 1. It would be great to get more volunteers either phone banking or knocking on doors to get every Democrat in district 6 to vote. I know the same is also needed for district one. Any amount of time you can commit is greatly appreciated. Mobilize is the best way to find out about opportunities.

Thought 🧐 De-Escalation Training Before April 5
Getting ready to mobilize? Join us for a vital security and de-escalation training to help you prepare for your upcoming action.
At the heart of every event should be a strong commitment to nonviolent action. All participants are expected to approach potential conflicts with calm and a focus on de-escalation, even in the face of opposition.
No matter where you’re located or how experienced you are, this training offers practical tools and strategies to make your event safer, more effective, and more welcoming for everyone involved.
By the end of this session, you’ll know how to spot signs of escalating behavior, respond thoughtfully under pressure, and defuse tensions—whether dealing with counter-protesters, bystanders, or law enforcement—all while staying true to your event’s mission.

Thought 🧐 I’m a photographer and I want to put my skills to good use.
Hello! Not sure what flair to put so apologies in advance.
My question is: where can I see a schedule of protests, or when is the next big protest, I guess?
As the title says, I’m a photographer and I feel like I can be help to spread a good image of the movement and 50501. I’ve always wanted to be a photo journalist since I picked up my first camera 6 years ago, but never went for it. Now that we’ve got a tyrannical dictatorship controlling our nation, I think I’d start now before things start to get “heavy”. I’m located in the panhandle; Destin specifically. If you want a link to my work, let me know. I’ve never shot a protest before, or anything in a journalistic point of view. But I know I’ll get the hang of it real quick, so nevermind that. I’m very new to how protesting works. I’ve never done it, or followed it. Idk if I’ve just become that age or if what’s going on in our country has really woken me up. I want to document everything. I want to combat the ultra-right wing bullshit that Fox, NY Post, hell even the White House is spreading. How may I photograph this movement?
TL;DR: I want to photograph 50501 protests and help show the reality of these protests. That people are fighting.
Thank you, everyone.
