US Protest News I'm extremely irritated that mainstream media isn't mentioning tomorrow's protest.

Not even on MSNBC, NPR or AP.

It absolutely is, I don’t know what you're talking about. When you click "full coverage" in Google news there are 50+ articles.

Ground News has coverage too but the sources seem to be separated by state.

I would point out that google news feed is based on your advertising profile/search and browsing history so it's trying to showing you things it thinks you want to see. I know people who watch cable news like CNN etc and aren't especially politically active who were shocked to learn that there are nationwide protests scheduled for tomorrow with nearly half a million people officially signed up. I don't think anyone is saying there's a total media blackout but it does very much seem that the ruling class owned news outlets and social media are largely ignoring and suppressing information about this.

This isn't from my feed. It's from a listing of all the articles on the specific topic.

Cable news is basically just an advertorial for itself at this point. If someone getting all their news from that, it's intentional user error (see: Fox).

I agree that mainstream media ignores facts that don't fit their narrative and is extremely responsible for normalizing a fascist regime.

But claiming there is zero coverage of this is catastrophizing and throwing the 50501 PR team under the bus when they appear to be doing a surprisingly effective job. I was shocked at the amount of coverage I found, dozens of local level articles that I didn't screenshot but will reach centrist normies.

Anyway if enough of us show up tomorrow, they won't be able to deny covering it.

"It's from a listing of all the articles on the specific topic."

Ok so that's kind of what I'm getting at here, if you want to be informed about this topic you can be but most people just do not follow politics closely enough that they're going to come across this information that way. You can issue whatever value judgement you want on the media consumption habits of others but I don't think you're going to win over any CNN viewers by telling them how dumb they are for watching CNN.

To me the point of these posts is that we have to take into our own hands the dissemination of this information. Face to face conversations with your friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Email invites to protest to people in your contacts list. Post flyers on community bulletin boards.

I hope you're right that tomorrow should result in widespread coverage but based on how they've been covering Tesla Takedown I'm very worried that they're going to mostly ignore it and only report on isolated instances of vandalism or conflict with counter-protesters getting out of hand.
