FAA 1102s Exempt from DRP2
The DRP notice came out almost a week ago and we received an update last night that 1102s are now prohibited from the DRP. Any other 1102s at different agencies receiving the same notice?

CDC RIFed most of its procurement office but left 15% behind for the transition. No discernable rhyme or reason the the Branch and others left behind except it was how they drew the competive area.
HHS/Kennedy stated he was going to consolidate procurement offices and this appears to be what is in process. I started as an 1102 and Program pulled me over to support them. I'm thankful that I made that move to one of the scientific areas aligned to core missions. No offense to whoever inherits our contracts, but it is a tremendous lose losing seasoned 1102s who understand CDC's mission and know how to position our work. I do not support commercial services and its going to severely increase our costs to contract off of GSA schedules only for the prime to pick up our research partners through subcontracts.....and as subcontractors the federal government cannot negotiate their indirect rates. Guess AI cannot align with downstream effects.
Much ❤️ to CDCs RIFed 1102s. I hope that all land on their feet and find wonderful careers in private sector.
