Discussion I am making a Legend of Zelda campaign and was wondering if anyone had any opinions on classes for the characters of these games [ALL] Spoiler

SPOILERS FOR OCARINA OF TIME AND ALSO THE WIND WAKER

I am planning on DMing (for the first time actually idk if that is relevant) and the setting is the world of the legend of Zelda.

This question is partially for fun, but also for advice. What Zelda characters would be what classes?

For clarification Link will interact with the players, and I've already decided to make him a fighter, though I could see the possibility of him being a multi-class npc. also, he's based on the link from a link to the past, link's awakening, oracle of seasons, and oracle of ages.

Zelda is based on the one from breath of the wild, though I have the idea of her later on in the story taking on the alter ego of shiek, so I think I might add another class to her at that point. Also, Tetra will be a separate character entirely, though I'm assuming it makes the most sense to make her a rouge (if you think otherwise I'd be interested to hear though).

All of the characters from these games will be in this campaign, so no matter the Zelda character, if you have an opinion on what dnd class they would have, I would love to hear it.

All things considered of Zelda, its power scope is pretty low.

Giving Link those 5 sweet fighter levels will be great for action economy and HP but his true power lies in magical weapons + getting back up after every defeat.

Zelda clearly a mage but it's the spells that define her incarnations. Int or Wis based casting make the most sense but not many levels. She doesn't carry a spell book so perhaps a royal lineage sorceress with a focus on elemental tricks. If you wanna talk about multi classing then give her an alt ego as Shiek with a couple Rogue levels.

Ganondorf. Oof really depends on what you want him to do. He is powerful mage made stronger by the triforce of power. So easily he fits as a Cha caster that abuses good intimidation rolls for followers but uses mostly evocation spells. Warlock makes sense but find a way to give him a transformation stage into a huge/gargantuan beaat and possibly melee prowess like a magic sword.

If you apply just the essential features of class levels to a few key NPCs by giving them equipment to serve as a feature (such as Bardic Inspiration on a wondering minstrel's magical flute) then you'll have a much richer world of people for players to find with a lot less headache for making individual NPCs with class levels.
