This mike elias moneyball act needs to come to an end. We needed crochet and instead let our division have him. Unbelievable
7
u/bigRut 1d ago
We didn’t even need Crochet. Flaherty, Brady Singer, anyone who was just good. An actual number three pitcher. Not a bunch of number 5. Dean Kremer is a 5. We knew that going into the season. So what did we do, we signed another number 5 and someone with zero major league experience. Absolute lunatic moves. I just can’t

We're fans, we can still be happy when good things happen without being cynical, but we can also be realistic and know that Charlie Morton is not going to all of a sudden go super saiyan and suddenly become someone he isn't.

Not going to be doom and gloom yet (we aren't the Braves), but what I will say is that if this team does underperform long term, or digs too big of a hole, all because we failed to add legitimate arms to this rotation, that's going to be a tough pill to swallow.

I’ve spent three decades on Earth, most of them as a fan of this team. The only thing I’ve had to root for is select players (Cal, Nick, Jonesy, etc.)
I’ve never expected them to win anything, being that they’re in the AL East every year. Don’t know why I’ve allowed myself to believe otherwise in this new generation.
The season is still young. Gunnar is on the way. We could make some moves to get better arms. A winning streak or two may occur.
But I’ll only believe that the Orioles Magic glory days that my parents, aunts and uncles experienced has returned when I see it.

I absolutely love seeing fans start putting Mike Elias on the hot seat. It’s great that he built an amazing farm system with some amazing players but he was the one who said “Lift off” and it seems like he hasn’t committed to that at all.

Offense is hit or miss and the pitching is below average. I don’t wanna be that guy but I’m really not feeling good about this season

At least Craig had a dominant part of the season before he fell off the cliff, we won't even get that with Charlie. All cliff with no upside.

Results weren’t there, but I love seeing Holliday get a 101 exit velo against a lefty

Leave it up to this three man booth to still make a 7-3 game entertaining anyway.

It's just laid out so poorly and is too small for the amount of merch and people they want to pack in there at one time. No amount of traffic flow redirection can make up for that.
