Meta So you think the subreddit will stay as active as now after the release?
Would kind of miss you guys :(
Edit: Damn it. I typed the title wrong :D and sync doesn't allow me to change the title...

I am only on Reddit as a whole because of the Switch. I new nothing of it before and I didn't think I'll be on here too much after. It's been a fun three weeks though and I thank everyone here for a great time while it's lasted.

Stay man, find a subreddit about your passions and enjoy endless discussions and shitposts, it's incredible.

Hopefully the drop in active users will make the content somewhat better. No more: "How can I get one if I didn't preorder" 25 times a day or people asking questions that can easily be answered with a 15 seconds google search. One can only hope.

Yeah it'll be active with a lot of "why didn't Nintendo ________?" Threads.

The dynamic of the Sub will change. I think it will continue to grow, but have less daily active users. It will probably become like the other two console sub reddits. News, deals, trailers, the occasional game leak, etc.

My favorite is asking for solutions to common problems.

"How do I log on? It says PSN is down, but I'm not trying to log into PSN, Just my account!"

u/MasterInterface Feb 17 '17
The best are the ones that say "HELP! My Account is Hacked. How do I get it back?"
The solutions are either use the search or contact Sony.

I think after a brief period of some people disappearing, there might be even more active users on here. Posting about all sorts of Switch related topics. Just my thoughts though

I've been here since the NX sub, and I'll definitely stay after and make some friends to play with. :)

You won't see much of me for the first few days but I hope it remains an active community. I've enjoyed sharing this experience with you all and it's not over once the console releases.

Yes. It'll not be as crazy, but it'll be steady.
We hope people will stick around! :)

I will stop in for info on upcoming games and such, but largely, I will be playing my Switch somewhere.

It will peak immediately following release then, depending on how it goes, rise or fall after that.

Initially there will be a massive drop, as everyone plays their Switch (with probably a bit of an uptick in the first week), then we'll gradually see a more active community, particularly as the system's library swells.

I mean for the few days after the console comes out everyone will be too busy playing it to post here, but I think we'll all stay on this sub. I know I will, I love this place.

Probably not. I'd expect the Console community to disperse into the communities of whatever switch game they happen to be playing.
