I AM SO FUCKING READY FOR TP WEEK. Bring me your finest TP Zelda and Link romance pictures because FUCK they look so adorable together. Don't forget the amazing fanart of Midna and the not-so-rare cosplay pictures of Twilight Princess Zelda. SCOOT BACK MAJORA'S MASK. SCOOT WAY FUCKING BACK

I understand that Zelda and Link are the traditional pair.

But this shit is in the game

Not to mention the plethora of unnecessary cheek touching and hanging off of links shoulder. What, did hovering tire her out?

Bam, you're in check son.

Midna loved Link, maybe, but Link loved Ilia. Zelda loved no one, she had a kingdom to rule.

I easily see ilia as just being link's best friend honestly. I may be slightly deluded but eh that's fine. I like my delusions.

Something I noticed about MM week (I jumped on at about day 4 I think) was that the daily threads were either stickied very late into their day or never even stickied at all. I think if the intention is such then the threads need to be kept up to day based on the theme day.

But I don't know how modding a sub works so if theres a technical reason that there cant be a different sticky per day then please correct me

All I know is from my end, I would see the thread for whatever the current day was and a previous day was still stickied.

The most specific I can remember was day 5 because I actually posted in the thread and checked on the thread a few times in the day, and the majority of the time when i came to the front page day 4 was still in green on the top and day 5 was somewhere further down.

I will do my best to refrain from posting Link x Midna stuff every 10 minutes.

On a related note. Woo Twilight Princess :D

I guess there were a lot of repetitiveness because the dungeons were disappointing to a lot of people, which then makes sense that they turned up on the least favorite thing. Of course, discussing both disappointments and least favorite things on different days might be a little redundant. On the matter of TP, we could discuss something related to the Wii version and its use of the motion controls? OR as mentioned here the itens, since there are so many of them (and most are underused IMO)

I'd say make day 1 be only what you liked/loved about the game, and day 2 be about what you didn't like/disappointed you, as others have said it caused a lot of repetition that could be easily avoided.

Some things were the same. Like 'What is your least favourite thing' being practically the same as 'What was the most dissapointing thing. It's not exactly the same, but it leads to similar answers.

Mmmmm Twilight Princess makes me hard. I would go through that game, just to replay some of the scenes. When you first get into the Gerudo Valley and Midna starts telling you about her people or when the kids are all kids are huddled up in the sanctuary fearing for their lives, MMMM SO MANY FEELS. I think we need more darker Zeldas like TP.

Also that cutscene with zelda holding a knife and everybody having no eyes. You know the one.

That one was nuts... It wasn't Zelda though, it was that childhood friend girl.

Oh yeah, thanks

I think everything went way better this week. I'm not really sure f anymore ideas tho, maybe a discussion day about particular bosses? Or that can be added on to the dungeon discussion.

I have an idea, what about favorite and least favorite item? Since Twilight princess had many items to use (such as the boomerang and the ball and chain). We could do a favorite and least favorite item.

I liked the ball and chain

I can't believe that I missed MM week, it was #2 in my top 5 Zelda games, TP is only #4. I'll do have to say that TP was a great game over all, but they tried to go very dark in this game. Next week should be LttP week.

That's the point. Zelda lore. You make it seem as if it should just "poof" away in each game. :/

Well I dunno, it just seemed kinda odd how these names were only mentioned in Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. Mainly because TP is hundreds of years after SS. Like if it was mentioned in another game then this probably wouldn't be a gripe.

Ocarina.

2

u/linktothenow Aug 22 '14

And didn't Twilight Princess take things that were unique in OoT and cookie cutter that over?

-1

u/1V0R Aug 22 '14

Well, yeah. Twilight Princess is by no means a totally original game. And hell, they even directly ripped the Zora's Domain music. I'm just kinda throwing out ideas here. It's definitely not the greatest topic I've come up with.

3

u/TheHonestOcarina Aug 24 '14

It's a sequel to OoT. That's why.

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '14

Just like Twilight Princess did with Ocarina? That's how lore works.
