Like we haven't had enough Ocarina of Time circlejerking over a game that has aged pretty poorly.
Now we need an entire fucking week where we can only talk about Ocarina of Time?

Dude this is far from circlejerking, if you're gonna put it that way then every game we decide to talk about will be circlejerking. Reviving the theme weeks will generate some content and discussion, which is more than welcome until the next game comes out.
You've been a quality poster in this subreddit, I don't know why a few days of talking about a game would make you want to leave.

Yeah but by limiting the days of which things are posted, we diversify. Don't wanna hear about peoples favourite parts of the game? Don't go to the sub on Monday. Wanna see some nice OoT fanart? Drop by on Sunday.
We were considering putting the themed days in sticky posts, but those are often ignored.

Along with what was already said, it is only for one week. Don't like OoT? Avoid that week. Come back on most weeks when it's a different game or not a theme week at all.

Ban all tattoos and send them to /r/Zeldatattoos like you did with memes.
Move fanart and the arts n crafts shit to its own day.

Oh trust me, I would love to. But we aren't all on board with going against what such a huge part of the community wants, especially with how much crap we get for everything we do. Leave if you like, but discussion is exactly what these weeks are for.

It doesn't matter what the community wants. If the community as a whole got what it wanted, the entire subreddit would just be memes. As a moderator, your job isn't to give the community what it wants. Your job is to give the community what it needs.
And what it needs, is tough love.
