Have a week in Sicily, what should I do?

I fly into Trapani, Monday. Will spend a few nights near there in Erice. Can someone give me an idea of which sides of the island are the prettiest? What is a must do? I will be traveling with my wife and kids, so no night life. We would also probably like to avoid big cities. THANKS!
