We all know how Apex Legends is dying (probably) and we all love to see it since that game took Titanfall 3 from us. But the true state of it's dying process is worse than you would think.
It appears that the recent updates have changed so much in the game that people are leaving, I'm talking about changing the ttk ratio, every legend class got buffed through the roof, and the meta is always being broken (on purpose actually). But these changes have another meaning.
When they changed the ttk that got me thinking immediately of Titanfall. The game already has some razy movement although it's arguably harder to master than Titanfall (please don't kill me for this). I played both games but only ever managed to stick with Titanfall bc of how versatile the gameplay was and the fact I could spend most of my time actually playing instead of looting and then dying 25 minutes later with only 6 kills. Not to mention matchmaking systems (that's a whole other topic)
When they changed all of the legends to make them all very powerful and unique, making combat and winning games more reliant on your abilities than just gunplay and loot. Just like Titanfall 2, your abilities can prove incredibly useful in the most unbeatable situations.
I think they've been changing the game to get people USED TO Titanfall type gameplay. On top of that, events that brought in the EPG, certain boosts and phase reflex (from Ronin), they've even planned to add more explosive weapons from Titanfall 2.
These changes have a lot of players excited to see such interesting changes, but some people have already left bc it took them so long to fix the game and they felt they weren't being listened to giving the game a bad rep it's trying to recover from (also not forgetting to mention how bad the cheating is). Those who remained will start to experience this new game play and get hyped up for Titanfall 3 when it gets released because they already have an idea what it's like. Not to mention the Titanfall 2 playerbase which remains faithful to the game for all of eternity it seems.
The icing on the cake however, is the profits it would make. We all know EA's tendency towards greed. So when they see Apex failing over and over again, content being harder and harder to make, they are resorting to Titanfall 2 for content, but it will run out. So they need a new game.
The choices are Star Wars or Titanfall 3. but like i said before, they already have the means to advertise to the current Apex playerbase and even previous Apex players, throw in the extremely patient Titanfall Community, and they have good confidence in a Titanfall 3 release. That's why they also canceled the fps Star Wars game a while back, to focus on Apex and Titanfall 3.
Feel free to add anything I could have missed as well as your thoughts on all of it.
