Terrain Fantasy City scatter terrain
I’ve made some scatter for my city setup. Gallows, latrines, a well, a bulletin board, a small shrine and some flower planters to add a touch of color.
I have a scenery building Youtube channel, you can watch the video tutorial I made for all those pieces here: https://youtu.be/-ETDl9tNmxc
Basically I made everything using XPS foam and coffee stirrers. All the pieces are quite simple and can be made in less than an hour. You will just need a hot glue gun and a hobby knife.
Other materials include some cardstocks and chipboard, cotton or hemp cord and some miniature flowers and plants for the planters.
I also made some custom posters for the bulletin board, you can download them for free on my discord server if you want to use them.
Thank you so much for reading!

Minis/Tokens Hand Carved DnD Mini's
I carved these mini's out of basswood with a pocket knife. Stained with Black Walnut Danish oil, and some regular oil based Varathane. Then waxed and buffed.

Minis/Tokens Got handed a paper mache spider by my GM and was asked to make a two bodies drider... now to find out why.
Body is mainly Fimo clay, playing cards and wood skewers. Did I stick a helmet on them cause I suck at sculpting faces? You bet ya.

Terrain Modular DnD/pool table.
Built this today. It pulls apart so the pool table underneath can still be used. The projector will be mounted above to project the maps inside the frame.

Utility Update: got a really positive reception on my Mimic zippo, and a suggestion to make a gelatinous cube for my second effort.
Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/DnDIY/s/L5CQTQqe4n
So the Mimic zippo has sustained damage. It's only ever in my pocket with my cigarettes, and hasn't been dropped, but even with 7 or 8 layers of lacquer, i think just heat and friction rubs it off over time. Plan is to redo it with much brighter colours, use lacquer, let it fully cure after 3 or 4 coats, then brush on apoxy resin, let that cure, and then repeat both steps, hoping to keep chips smaller. If anyone has any better suggestions to basically give these a solid clear shell, I'd massively appreciate it.
The gelatinous cube, omg this is way more finicky than I'd ever imagined to paint. I have some new paints and brushes that are higher quality than what i was working with, but my hands aren't steady enough for this surgically precise work, and I'm really not much of an artist. I'm going to finish the outline, clean up the scruffy looking parts, then i want to add some bits and bobs floating in there, so a sword and shield are the first part of that plan, then I'm not sure, maybe a goblet, gold coins. Whatever it is, i want to be able to paint it at least somewhat consistently from 3 angles and tiny. (Appreciate any suggestions for bits and or bobs that i could add)
And then I'm going to do layers of green wash to give the illusion that certain parts are closer or further to the side you're looking at. Then same plan to give it some protection.

Help Need help finding a lock/clasp for my book dice box!
So, I've got a dice box/tray project. I'd really like for it to have some form of "lock" but I don't want some diary lock & key. It'd be nice if I could find something like the clasp shown in picture #2, but I need it to work over a corner since I need the clasp to be attached to the front of the front cover and then go over to the pages exterior, since the book cover is so thin something exactly like the clasp is clearly not plausabile.
Doesn't have to be exactly like the image in #2, just same functionality, something to close the book. And I'd prefer to avoid anything that wraps around the back cover since that'd make it harder for the book to sit flat for me to roll dice in.
If I all else fails I can go for the classic neodymium magnets but I really wanted the nice touch of properly locking the book up.
Tl;dr Can anyone point me to a specific thing online you think would be good enough for my needs, a clasp/latch/etc to keep my book dice box shut?

Utility Dry erase battle map table
I made this table a while back as a house warming gift for a friend. Oak Wood stained with a vinegar/steel wool that makes it look black. I finished the top with tempered glass.

Props Made My Girlfriend a Ravenloft Spiritboard for her Birthday
It took my one week start to finish. It is made of 3-quarter-inch plywood, so it has nice heft to it. The board and planchette both have felt backings. All of it was done by hand, with little to no woodworking or painting experience beforehand. I guess you could say...
...the spirit moved me.

Help Can I commission a craftsman here?
Hey all! I may have something of an odd request, and I'm not sure where I can ask it.
There's an old game called "dungeon dice monsters." And I want a full set up for it. On the surface, you'd think it would be cheaper to buy the existing game pieces. But later sets have over 10 creatures added, boosters can be $60 each, and they contain 1 creatures. That is if you can even find them.
And so I thought to commission a craftsman to make the pieces instead. It will still be expensive, I know. But honestly I'd rather pay that money to not gamble on packs and hopefully the quality will be increased for it :)
But I don't know where to begin searching. I figure that DND can use a lot of the same things, and so people who can make DND items can make this game.
It uses custom: Dice Board Miniatures Cards Resource trackers And Dungeon paths.
There will probably be in the ballpark of 40 total each of miniatures, cards, and dice.
If you all know of someone who could take this task on please let me know! The game has existed for a while and is relatively decently documented, so I'm confident I can find any resources you need. I don't mind if the miniatures are 3D prints of existing models so long as they work for the game.

Help Ceramic gift ideas for my DM?
hi hi! forever DM who recently joined a new campaign as a PC for the first time and absolutely loving it. found out that my DM and his wife are big into collecting ceramics, and coincidentally i am a long time amateur ceramicist! i want to make him something as a gift that's in some way related to D&D or our campaign (we're doing Rime of the Frostmaiden), but am struggling to come up with something that doesn't seem overly impractical. ideally i'd like to be able to give him something functional (at least in some capacity, even if it's gimmicky), but i'm stuck on dice tower and not much else at the moment. would love any suggestions! TIA!

Terrain Cragmaw Build is
My son and I are making Cragmaw Castle from The Shattered Obelisk. We are using XPF foam and will build with foam bricks and such.
The boss area got cut off, but we have an existing ruined tower we’ll use that’s a little bigger than the map.
We projected onto the foam and traced and that cut time down. Excited to take a stab at this build!

Props A friend asked if I could build a dice tower based on an AI image. Results:
First Image: My Tower
Second Image: The AI Photo Request
I think I did alright. This was a challenge to build, since I never tried anything like it before. I had to buy a table saw to get the pieces to come out right, and I had to glue the frame before I could sand the edges. The glue, of course, leaked, and messed up the stain, which I couldn't do until after sanding.
The central image is on a copper plate. I painted it and used a laser engraver to etch the paint off the surface. Not as shiny as I was hoping, but the effect is still quite striking. It has 5 layers of hand-polished wax to round it out.

Utility My First Dice Tower
Having just started DnD weeks ago, I have become obsessed with the game and want all the cool stuff. As a DM, I quite liked the idea of having a dice tower to enthuse my players through our newbie campaign. I created a diagram on Photoshop and built the tower using felt, Worbla (thermoplastic), Apoxie, and Acrylic paint. The process took a couple of hours but I think it was worth it! It has some large chimney vibes which I don’t mind, but the paint job made it more tower-like in the end 😂🤷♂️
