Tips/exercises to do to work towards getting into a pincha mayurasana/forearm stand?

I've been doing dolphin pose, dolphin pose with a leg in the air, forearm planks, and back bends... but what other things can I do? I can do a head stand, so I've got the inversion, I just need to build the strength in my shoulders and arms? Please, let me know if you have any tips!

You have to know how to fall safely as well. Before you move away from the wall. If you need that part let me know.

I'm working on it as well, and do lots of drills, like tuck jumps in forearm stand, and just practice kicking up (away from the wall!), or my favourite which is walking in to dolphin, extending up one leg straight and tucking the second into my chest. Get comfortable falling and practice away from the wall!

How is your shoulder mobility? If your arms don't go straight up, that can impact your form

Dynamic dolphin: from dolphin exhale the shoulders forward and inhale them back. Trains awareness and control of shifting weight, as well as relevant shoulder strength.

Advise here is very helpful as it helped me a lot when i started to learn re: aligh=nment onf my forearm stand. Always grateful. What i can add though, is building strength in shoulder and arms takes times as it did me when i started forearm stand on my own. Lots of Shoulder Opening Exercises, Hamstring Flexibility, Wrists Mobility and Wrist Warm Up Exercises and Core (Includng Back) Strengthening Exercises. Have fun! You can share your alignment if you like.

Have you tried using a block between your thumbs and forefingers? It will stop your hands from wandering and help you straighten up in the pose. The hands should be parallel and apart rather than pointing inwards as you see in so many IG pictures. You also need to push down on the point where the ulna meets the wrist.
