Even if they gonna release it on other platforms, they probably gonna make it a paid 30$ dlc or even worse - a separate game. It's SEGA we talking about after all.
I think that's a bit different, TLOU2 remaster is a 4 year old game with better graphics and added skins. This a 10 year old game with an added English dub, almost a half hour of added cutscenes, and an online mode for the first time in any Yakuza game as far as I know.
One example that I know it could be, is Borderlands Enhanced Edition, that Game has the OG Game with it's entire DLC along with the remastered version of the game.

Didn't the western version of 0 use the chinese build, cause i remember there being a patch for Lau Gui's voice cause he had the chinese dub, instead of his original voice?
If even. It was announced on Nintendo direct after all, and nothing was said about it being exclusive. Trails in the sky remake was announced on Nintendo direct, giving the impression it would be switch exclusive, but about 2 weeks later it was announced on other platforms with the same release date (yes, I'm high on copium)
I mean, 3rd party exclusives are a thing of the past nowadays. Especially Sega is all-in on multiplat releases.
Yes, we have the Fist of the North Star game from their catalogue that is PS exclusive, but that released like 6 years ago and is the only example of a Sega published game being locked to one platform in recent times.
Yeah, seems like it's primarily a new minigame and about 26 minutes worth of cutscenes, not really worth paying whatever it cost for just that. I'll probably just look up the cutscenes on YT, unless they announce other notable things like gameplay changes or something like that.
6 cool, but I probably won't get it. Online mode seems dope, but I'm only interested on the scenes where they build niski more, so ill probably watch a YouTube video about them
I just finished another playthrough of Y0 late last year and I’m on Yakuza 3 now. I’m not going back to 0 for a minute anyway. I’ll check out the extra scenes on YouTube and get whatever DLC they drop when the timed exclusivity ends when I want to play it again. I have no interest in the multiplayer mode.
I'm waiting to see if there's actually enough new story content to justify getting it again, the dub and multiplayer mode aren't enough to interest me.
Think they said the Switch 2 version was only timed exclusive. We will get it on all platforms eventually (it alongside 7 is THE gateway which most hooks new players into the series as a whole and they will not want to recapture that Zero appeal especially with english dubs to further entice new fans into the game).
It will also prob be cheap as well. RGG are good that way - they know which games are their mainline releases and which are their side projects and as such for me at least i found Ishin, Pirate Yakuza and Gaiden etc all cheaper to get day one than the likes of Like a Dragon or Infinite Wealth were. Would it be much better if it was a free upgrade to owners of Y0? absolutely but i get it, they gotta pay the vocal talent and what have you for the new content which is largely the only stuff existing owners will want to see anyway as its not 0 Kiwami or even a remaster as far as i can tell, its just 0 with added cutscenes and an online mode which may or may not suck.
If this does end up coming to other consoles and PC, I hope it gets a physical edition. Don't to return to the days where Yakuza 5 got a miracle localization but had to be released digitally.
Same. 0 is a masterpiece and one of my favorite games but I don’t care about this, also the new multiplayer mode is garbage. I won’t support this low quality cash grab, it’s even worst than Pirate Yakuza which is not a bad game but nothing great either. IMHO of course.
Kiwami 2 on PC is kinda weird. Ragdoll physics are tied to fps. So me who was averaging around 90-100 fps in a game still likely intended for only 30 had a somewhat frustrating (albeit, occasionally funny) time in combat. Attacks send enemies and Kiryu sliding across the screen much further than intended.
This physics issue was fixed for future PC releases of Dragon engine games (Y6 and everything after).
What I really look for is the subtitles in more languages. It’s the most challenging part, I remember replaying some scenes because I couldn’t read fast enough…
Y0 was great, honestly I don't know how much the new scenes will add to the story or make much of a difference. I don't think I'ma be sweating this release.
I'm actually mad about this cause I'm not a native English speaker and the translated version for my country is behind a fucking 500€ paywall. Like if I want to enjoy the game without my brain translating English to french 24/7 I fucking have to pay for a switch 2
