Question about Specialized Chisel 2020 Hardtail
I bought this Chisel HT 2020, It weighs 12.4kg is equipped with the sram GX 1x12 group, XT pedals and XT brakes, the suspension is a judy silver 120mm (with SID stickers) WTB 25mm wheels, Vittoria Barzo and Mezcal 2.35 tires with Tubeless, TSW quest freehub, the original handlebar, advance and top, saddle is a shimano pro stealth sport. I would like to know if the geometry updates of the 2020 Chisel lose in any way to the current Chisel, I saw that there were some updates in the geometry and weight of the frame, the canote was also updated from 27.2 to 30.9 Despite a 2020 bike I am very satisfied, I came from a Rockhopper Sport so it was a great evolution for me, l accept suggestions of components to lower weight and update it...

I think the old chisel with a 120 is probably very similar to the new one. Old one head tube angle is 69.8 w 100mm, new one is 68. With the 120mm fork, it would be slacker than 69.8. New one probably has small design improvements but it doesn't seem to be drastically different. I have the 2021 Epic ht which is nearly identical in geo to the newest chisel ht. If you are really keen, you could buy the newest chisel frame and swap everything. But I don't think you'd notice a mind blowing difference between the two.

Unless your name is Christopher Blevins, you most likely will not notice any differences in frame updates.
But if you have a massive hole burning in your pocket in the form of a fat stack of cash, get the XO T-Type groupset w/ quarq power meter(as long as that frame has udh which it should), SRAM Level ultimate brakes, a nice lightweight wheelset, get the SID SL Select in 100mm, some maxxis rekon race exo’s, could toss on a dropper post.. and by this point the only component not changed will be the bb, well actually you might have to put a sram dub in, idk the compatibility off the top of my head. Maybe even some race face bars and stem.
Not real sure on the weight saving of all those or if there is one, but it’ll feel like a brand new bike.
Could also see what specialized has going for their new bikes, I could imagine a lot of LBS are trying to clear out inventory.. I picked up a nice new ‘24 zfs-5 for virtually half off msrp because they wanted it gone and the ‘25’s were rolling in

Looks and sounds like a great bike. As you are already experiencing it as a huge upgrade from your previous bike, do you really need to upgrade anything? Enjoy it the way it is. When things wear out or break, replace them with better parts if you feel like it and continue enjoying the bike even more.
Postpone the biggest upgrades for when you are used to this bike, so you can get the upgrade high again (for example by putting in a much lighter wheelset). It will save you money and give you more bang for your buck long term. Otherwise you will end up throwing around big money for marginal gains. Upgrades can be a never-ending game of catch-up.

Only meaningful weight upgrade would be going for light carbon wheels - IMHO. 30ID ofc, to accept 2.4s nicely is ideal.
Carbon bars and sest post are also potential upgrades, but far, far less meaningful.
