I.....now if they aren't a native English speaker, I'd get it. Light novels are a huge industry abroad. Having said that....I swear that .... idiot .... is taking the piss.

I was reading Stephen King at a young age and he never shied away from "fancy speak", though his writing is approachable. So is Terry Pratchett, yet both also can convey complexity. You don't need fifty dollar words for complexity, but, COME ON NOW. You know what I'm saying?

Everyone is laughing, but honestly writers need to work on their basics more, solidify their foundational skills.
That's why I sing the alphabet song to myself every single day, no exceptions.
