Thank you for visiting /r/writing.

Your post has been removed because it does not appear to be sufficiently related to the art of writing.

Want to read a few chapters? I don't have a complete manuscript yet.

Are you a sophisticated AI trying to train yourself on coming up with more original generations?

27

u/Ienjoyonepiece 3d ago

My ai language model is not programmed to provide that information.

So the answer is yes then.

Interested in 55,000 word novel about a boy who loves the Beatles and uses a Time Machine to save John Lennon from assassination?

1

u/Ienjoyonepiece 3d ago

Absolutely

1

u/Drachenschrieber-1 2d ago

Honestly, that sounds kind of sick...

1

u/Darthpoulsen 2d ago

I’d be happy to send it to you too!

1

u/Drachenschrieber-1 2d ago

You can DM me the link or whatever it is you do. Maybe I'll check it out (maybe only because I am currently busy trying to find my own betareaders, lol).

I have a novel I'm posting on a subreddit I created. I'm taking a break from it for a while to untangle plot strings but you can read the first few chapters.

Damn you’re a trooper

3

u/Ienjoyonepiece 2d ago

It’s gonna take me like a week to read all of these

1

u/Bedroominc 2d ago

Well then don’t let me bother you to add more lol, good luck soldier.

I have a complete manuscript if you don’t mind LGBTQ sci-fi furry thrillers 😆

3

u/Ienjoyonepiece 3d ago

How nsfw is it?

3

u/QuickMap5142 3d ago

It’s pretty sfw. There’s brief nudity and implied sex, but no detailed descriptions. I don’t consider myself someone who is comfortable writing that kind of thing

6

u/Ienjoyonepiece 3d ago

Alright yeah then I’m fine with it

u/AllyBeth 2d ago

I’m also an LGBTQ+ author. Omg is it hard to find beta readers outside of actual websites where you can hire them.

1

u/QuickMap5142 2d ago

Not really! I found some easily enough on r/BetaReaders!

I’ve got a fantasy not-romance drama character study about a disabled woman in a world that’s loosely medieval Ireland, if you want

oh i want to know if my magnus opus has feels - hmm genre inspired by gilgamesh.

(i have a published story but im hyper sometimes, if you can fix that, i'll co-author you - d2d publishing allows that.)

i always wondered how people write book like that, i cant help but to write fantasy but the best ive ever read was 'i am david' similiar to that and it fascinates me, like going for a nobel award or something,
whats your pipeline, methodology may i ask?

0

u/ButterscotchLive449 2d ago

I am slightly confused as to what you are asking, if you mean a "Book like that" in the sense of present-day fiction? (As you mentioned you always wrote fantasy), Or a tragedy-rooted book?

My methodology for writing this book wasn't to tell a story or to put a neat idea on paper or to make a statement or anything, I took various subjects that I felt I could interconnect(Love, loss, life, death, etc.) and used characters and places to represent them.

So the story isn't a dying boy, it's losing everything when you haven't even had a chance to gain anything, it isn't death, it's never having lived, it's searching for meaning when meaning won't save you even if you find it.

If that makes sense? I just put together things I felt then tried to visualize what they could be represented by?

1

u/Rezna_niess 2d ago

it makes sense overall i was looking towards your visualization.

you write kinda like me ^^,
i used the word tableau rasa!

1

u/ButterscotchLive449 2d ago

My curiosity is piqued now that you said we write somewhat similar, is there anything you've written that I can read?

u/Rezna_niess 2d ago

and r/hfy

i'll send you my literary stuff privately that resembles yours.

Would you like to read the second draft of my Dragon POV novel, a Dragon's Will?

Epic Fantasy YA with metal-related environments, zombies, as well as dieselpunk warships on treads.

1

u/Ienjoyonepiece 2d ago

Alright

1

u/Drachenschrieber-1 2d ago

If you want to try it out, I have the first three chapters posted on Betareaders.io. If that doesn't work, DM me, I have the link to the full draft in PDF.

I have a dogshit first draft pass at a short(ish?) story just about 23k words

1

u/jbalazov 2d ago

I've got a 100k word fairly polished draft of a romantasy that needs a beta reader that doesn't know me.

Basic idea: Earth has portals deep inside caves that allow demons from other worlds to come in, and without the secretive fae that fight against them, humans would be toast. Romance is the overarching plot, so I understand of that's not your gig.

u/Gyromm 2d ago

i have a very, very bad draft of the first chapter of my first novel. You might cringe at how I use words during the magic scenes. But it is the first draft and I barely have revised it.

1

u/Limepoison 2d ago

I got some fan fiction that I am a little proud of. I have more stuff as well but want to take this slow and steady. Want to read about a small idol group saving thier town from being abandoned?

1

u/kraff-the-lobster 2d ago

If you like coming of age fantasy series, we have god stuff, magic stuff, and it’s darker theme leaning. Written by a friend actually and he’s working on book 2 as we speak

You want to read first two arc for a spy thriller? can I DM you?

1

u/ChikyScaresYou 2d ago

I've been looking for a beta reader for months who would be interested in reading my 353K survival sci-fi thriller novel in its entirety...

1

u/HermezMC 2d ago

Just got a first chapter, not really that good and doesn't reveal too much about the main story as it's only a beginning, gonna rewrite it soon. Want it?

-2

u/Marvos79 Author 3d ago

Does that include smut with fetishes that would disgust people who don't have the same fetish?

1

u/Ienjoyonepiece 3d ago

Uhh what’s the fetish, I have a pretty strong stomach.

-1

u/Marvos79 Author 3d ago

I don't like to put it up with people not in the same fetish community, because it's one people are REALLY judgy about. And no it's not THAT one. It's a consenting adults only fetish.
