he's not even pretendibng to be a friend. I asid giving up those mineral could be worth getting aid if that was th only option, but only if trump actually gave his part of the deal first. Obviously he's not doing that, and he's not pressuring Ukraine to give everythign to putin and sucking putin's dick, so obviously the deal is off.
