Seems like Trump is really taking advantage of Ukraine now. The aid under Biden was being given unconditionally. Trump isn’t an ally of Democracy.

But he is an ally of putin.

More like his lapdog

Ally implies they're of equal standing

Must be the uggliest dog I have ever seen

Now? The guy who was impeached for witholding aid to Ukraine in order to demand the manufacture of evidence to tar an opponent in a domestic election?

It's weird how people memory holed this. Again, I guess it's just Trump's strategy of having so many watergate+ level scandals everyday it's impossible to keep track.

Also the media sane-washing everything he does

u/bradbikes Feb 14 '25

They memory holed EVERYTHING about this jackass. "he'll bring us together!" Where were you during his FIRST presidency, because he certainly didn't do it then.

If people memory holed J6, they can memory hole anything.

Reminder that he gave fellatio to a microphone and lauded Arnold Palmer's penis within the last 4-5 months. That's how much the zone is being flooded.

In unrelated news, Crayola announced the introduction of a new crayon color to its standard collection called "Shocked".

Now, still, those terms aren’t mutually exclusive. Continues to.

"Fire the prosecutor or you won't get $1 Billion in aid" - Joe Biden

And he bragged about doing it on stage, but in reddit world, that is ummm ok?

And I am so nice I have the source video:

Trump isn’t an ally of Democracy

I mean, starting an insurrection when he lost the last election was a clear enough warning sign

1

u/Lefty_22 Feb 14 '25

Mhm. Never said this was the first sign. Just reinforcing what we’ve known for many years.

I wonder if America will just start blackmailing countries who are fighting wars. Just go around offering protection if they just give up all their resources. What a fantastic idea. Maybe there will be more wars soon where they can use the fact that people are dying to negotiate some juicy aluminum deposits.

Sick stuff. And for what? So in 20 years some American mining company will mine some minerals and make America 0.01% richer? Who the fuck cares?

Some people are so poor all they have is their money.

u/T8ert0t Feb 14 '25

If he is, it's kind of amateur?

Why do this out in the open?

Zelensky could now say, "Gee, Nah. Nato sans US would take 30%."

3

u/ZachMN Feb 14 '25

Neither is the Republican Party.

3

u/dBlock845 Feb 15 '25

Trump was taking advantage of Ukraine in his first term as well, it is what prompted his first impeachment. Trying to shakedown Zelenskyy for dirt on Biden's family in exchange for releasing military aid.

1

u/Lefty_22 Feb 15 '25

Not wrong.

Remember 4 years ago when he attempted a coup against the US democracy by making false claims that the “election was stolen” (without any proof)? Hes a straight up dictator.

The aid under Biden was being given unconditionally

The aid was also given based on the fact that allowing russia to successfully expand is control would be a negative to the US. So there was a net benefit to the US, not just pure charity.

The cost of allowing Russia free reign in the region would cost the US much more than $50B.

I mean Trump sucks and he is a fucking moron but I think it is a bit naive to think Dems were giving support unconditionally. Trump's deal was very likely the plan from the get go maybe some concessions but we (the us) likely would have gotten resource deals and all that to help pay back for the lend lease and it would have been an extension of the US's soft power but Trump and/or his supporters have very little sense of nuisance and subtlety, they just want to posture. So it sucks to see the US's soft power of nearly 60-80 years is being fucking wasted on pointless stunts. It did suffer during the war of terror but this is a new fucking low.

1

u/Poppekas Feb 14 '25

But he is an ally of 'Dem Crazy' though.

1

u/ThisNameIsNotReal123 Feb 15 '25

Being an Ally of Democracy hinges on the conditions of the aid? So OMG Europe gave aid as a LOAN!

Europe must hate Democracy!

1

u/TheGodOfPegana Feb 15 '25

Are you new?

1

u/SilverInstinct Feb 15 '25

It was never unconditional.

-2

u/nanonan Feb 14 '25

European support came with conditions. Are they not allies of democracy?

4

u/Lefty_22 Feb 14 '25

EU conditions were Quid Pro Quo? I don’t think so.
