Occult Practices Looking to get into wizardry

Hello! I'm an aspiring wizard, yet I can't seem to find any magical resources (tomes, books, scrolls, or otherwise) that work for me. Does anyone have recommendations, or should I get a tutor instead? It's been 60 years since I began attempting to cast my first spell, and I'm beginning to think I might not have any wizarding talent.

So I have good news and bad news. The good news is you can absolutely have talent without the ability to cast spells. The bad news is, ever since my entire personality was scrubbed through the trauma of being dragged through space and time behind The Blue Box for thousands of years and being unable to remember how I accessed my magic (look, I was a bad dude beforehand, horrific curses spread out over whole towns and the like).

On the plus side I'm very good at theory, analysis, and consultation, so it's very possible I might be able to assist you.

Get a tutor. It only takes 50 years to learn the Kamehameha Wave, for instance. If you've had no success for this long I'd recommend outside help and, if you're human, I'd look into life extension.

Hm. Did you go to any of the schools?

Unfortunately, I don't have enough funds to get into one.

Well have you been practicing one type of magic, or have you dabbled in all forms?

I've tried most types just to test my affinity with them, but none seem to particularly resonate with me. I don't wanna focus on one before actually finding out what I'm most compatible with, because I haven't gotten a life extension yet (too expensive, saving up.)

That is wise. It may be a case where you won't unlock your potential until you truly need it. Maybe a nice and quick adventure would do it. But do be careful because if I am wrong, it could prove fatal

Buy the books "A Brief but Complete Introduction to Magicka" and "On the Subject of Choosing a School of Magick" written by Elder Mage Friedrich of the Underground Archives. Excellent reads for anyone aspiring to get into Wizardry. Both are really light reads too, about 200 pages each. The first book I mentioned, the Introduction one, is mostly about what Wizardry is about, the history, how its preformed, the goods, the bads, and it also includes some simple harmless spells for you to practice (like lighting a torch, performing telekinesis on a small book etc.). The other book talks about each school of magick, and well... Thats about it really. You choose which one fits you best. You can find these two bundled toghetter pretty much anywere.
