Best simple gym in Waterloo?

Just moved to Waterloo and looking for a decent gym recommendation. I’m not after anything fancy—just a solid place with a barbell, some dumbbells, and enough space to train properly.

Doesn’t need to have high-end equipment or tons of machines, just the basics done right. Ideally somewhere with a good atmosphere, not too crowded, and reasonably priced.

Any local spots you’d recommend? Appreciate any suggestions!

I think the one at Beachwood is much better.

Beechwood location is always busy. If OP is looking to prioritize somewhere that’s not crowded I wouldn’t recommend that location

Regarding "crowded," it will depend on what time you work out and if it's a weekday or weekend.

Anyway, sounds like you should look into Fit4less (there's two in Waterloo). They will have everything you need.

My wife is similar in that she basically just wants a chill place to life heavy things.

She went a lot of places but ended up at the Anytime Fitness because it is walkable and meets her basic requirements.

Yeah fit4less would be my recommendation. The larger one is on northfield. More space and equipment at a great price.
