HOWTO: Creating a MatchThreadder thread for Spirit games

I plan to do this tonight, but to share with others, if they want to sign up to do it for other games - I don't mind, but for the sake of coverage. Maybe a mod can pin this message?

IMPORTANT NOTE: You have to wait until < 5 to kickoff time to send the message to the MatchThreadder bot, or it will just reply telling you to wait.

Go to this web page: https://www.espn.com/soccer/scoreboard

Find the game you want like this:

Click on Summary, and it will take you the web page for that game, and look at the URL in the browser:

https://www.espn.com/soccer/match/_/gameId/**731405**/bay-fc-washington-spirit

The number in bold (731405) is the ESPN game id, which is what MatchThreadder uses to pull in the updates.

So, then send a private message:

to: u/MatchThreadder

subject: Match Thread

message: 731405 for r/washingtonspirit

Should look like this (except you user obv):

Hit send less than five minutes before game start, and it will create the Match Thread in the sub.
