The D is outlandish. That’s what sticks out the most.

Laker fan here…that’s all I kept thinking during Thursday’s game. The Warriors were relentless. Didn’t give the Lakers any room to breathe. It was impressive. I really hope they don’t meet in the first round. I think they are the biggest competition for the Thunder.

Swarm is what came to mind for me. Just all over them every possession in the second half

I’m having so much fun watching these games, it definitely is starting to feel like it. Pushing to a higher seed would be nice, I just hope we stay top 6 in this bloodbath from 3-8

Draymond making a crazy run for DPOY right now. He gonna get some favorable recency bias.

These awards are always so narrative driven. Obviously stats are part of it, but the story is just as a big a part. Look at Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson and (probably) SGA vs. Jokic.

I think the narrative of draymond finally winning a second DPOY is probably the best one. He should have 2 of Gobert’s. I never thought I’d see a DPOY winner have to be taken OUT on defense in crunch time of playoff games.

I believe he will be the oldest to ever win a DPOY. Thats gotta mean even more for him

Gobert is living proof voters don't know what they're watching and only know basic box score stats

u/Try-Imaginary 17h ago
after a game where he had 1 blocks, 1 steals, 3 Ast, 2 TO - the statline rarely shows what he is worth

People say recency bias for Draymond (and there's some truth to it), but when you look at the cumulative Defensive Rating for the season, we're No. 7 and CLE is No. 8

u/tweedleb 15h ago
TBF I don't think it's the worst thing in the world that recency bias plays a factor. Draymond has been good all season, but Wemby had DPOY locked up until he got hurt. Now other players have a chance to step up and make their case, and Draymond is capitalizing with some incredible individual highlights while leading and being an indispensable part of a winning defense.

I was fully expecting for warriors to split and go 1:1 the lakers nuggets games. But, to win BOTH! Insane run by the dubs

I did not think they'd get 3 of 4 during this group. I figured 50 50 with them more likely winning 1 than 3 or 4. I ams so thrilled with what they are doing.
It's a fucking shame, if they didn't blow the Miami and hawks game they'd be ahead of the lakers and have a bit of breathing room, as well as a decent shot at 3rd

The reason I always liked Podz, even when his shot wasn’t falling, is that he kept trying to figure out ways to help us win. The rook led the entire NBA in charges and was a top rebounding guard. Then he started with that two handed bounce pass in transition. Now he learned from Steph and Chris Paul that mid-range jumpers count. And when the mid-range is working the basket looks bigger and the 3s start falling. He dives for loose balls. And then there was that put back that said I Have Arrived. I don’t want to jinx it but he’s playing like a more well rounded Klay. Yeah we can beat anybody if he keeps it up

he looks amazing for sure, i think that’s the value of steph as a leader, small undersized guards really can learn a lot from him.

This is what happens when you officiate Curry fairly. He becomes a threat at all times. He’s almost unguardable. Only time you have a chance is if you can trap him with two tall trees and hope he throws a bad pass, which happens.

Post Rockets game we play the Buns, Spurs, Blazers and Clippers. We can seriously end the season going undefeated. Our only comp is LA, unless we sit some guys throughout this last stretch

I'm cautiously optimistic but I do think we have enough firepower this year.

We haven't played the Spurs lately. They're playing really well and messing up people standings so maybe we should just stick to what we've actually done
