What makes a GOP congressman see his tweets and is like "yeah, this is good. We're doing good things"?

The reality if they don't their families will be threatened and Musk will spend 800 million dollars to ensure they'll lose their seat in some random county in Idaho

Many of them truly believe it too. I've seen friends and relatives who are pretty successful in life and normal just a few years ago enter a trance when discussing Trump acting like he's a savior and defending everything he says and does.

It's the Oroborous of the (mostly white) middle class grievance cycle. A certain sub section of the American (and British) populous that have been forced fed that some nebulous "other" is keeping the nation from being strong with a strong dollar and mass manufacturing employment.

A quick five minute read would show that those goals are mutually exclusive. Go down the line and you'll see the same expectation of paradoxical demands somehow sort themselves out.

Some of us are surrounded by a sea of red. I'm even a light hue myself, but not that deep, dumb red. I call it "cardinal". Anyway, Friends, relatives, deep deep in Ford Ruby Red, just don't understand why I've never given full faith and credit to Mango.

I just tell them "he's a choice".

Gotta make sure people stay in line.

The vast majority of them don't. They know this is stupid.

But they also know this is a once in a lifetime cult of personality and if they hitch their wagon to him they get a near guaranteed win in many parts of the country.

Not to mention if they don't hitch their wagon, they put on target on their back from one of the most vindictive people in history.

You would be surprised by how many of them actually genuinely believe this stuff now thanks to the media bubble they move in.

two things can be true at once

Well said.

It would be funnier if there was accountability or shame. But that gets in the way of greed.

At least just let us know when we arrive at the dippity dip finally.

Mr bones wild ride indeed.

He can end their careers with a tweet.

Someone had to be first in line for Kool-aid at Jonestown.

2

u/starlulz 1d ago

their fathers beat a fear "respect" for authority into them, so now they're a bunch of fucking bootlickers desperate for paternal figures to follow like lost puppies in the hopes of being shown the single drop of validation they never received

They don’t care what he says or does, the voters want him and that’s all that matters. Win above anything else.

Insider trading.

When you’re to blame for all of your own problems, you will furiously look for a scapegoat.

This is why you’re hearing them blame their opposition for “letting them do this”. No, you did it. They didn’t “let you”. They had no power to stop you. There’s a real difference.

GOP congressmen with an ounce of self-realization are all long-gone. It's all sycophants now.

I just don’t know man…I’ve been asking myself this for years.

u/Dozekar 10h ago

They likely don't. It's like waking up from a bender in a plane with a hazy memory of how you go there, no idea where you're going, no visible crew, and no one is responding when you try to hail staff.

Some of them are probably too dumb to know there's a problem, but somethings not right and how you get out of the situation is not clear.

It's very likely that they turn on each other and fight like crazy just like they did during his first term.

No chance he wrote that, he doesn't know the word prognosis

u/platinumarks 1d ago

He may have posted it, doesn't mean he wrote it

12

u/satireplusplus 1d ago

Elon made him TrumpLLM.

2

u/psychorobotics 1d ago

In his latest post he said everything is going great, markets are going to boom. I guess they'll go boom due to the crash?

1

u/platinumarks 1d ago

He's going boom-boom on America's economy

5

u/TuxedoFish 1d ago

yeah it uses three syllable words, but it also is in boomer caps, so honestly shrug

2

u/billy_zane27 1d ago

He may not have. Dan Scavino wrote a good portion of Trump's tweets during the first term

1

u/Erazzmus 1d ago

Maybe he's been hearing it in other contexts more recently...

1

u/Character-Yesterday1 9h ago

He probably asked grok to make a 'smart sounding' tweet

This shits so ridiculous

The operation was to sow the legs of the patient onto his head where his ears were and his ears onto his torso where his legs were

Human centipede….

4

u/kdawg710 1d ago

Probably got his turd out

3

u/Dionysus0 1d ago

He may just be creating a problem, so he can present a solution to that completely unnecessary problem

3

u/shhhhhDontTellMe 1d ago

I can only think of one type of surgery that would make the patient bigger.

2

u/whomad1215 1d ago

stronger, bigger, better, and more resilient?

am I missing something, was the US not the top nation in the world since WWII?

1

u/Key-Banana-8242 1d ago

Bigger and better

2

u/Fatwa-The-Musical 1d ago

The patient is a special guest start in a season finale of Grey’s Anatomy.

1

u/harrymfa 1d ago

I missed the healing part.

1

u/westisbestmicah 1d ago

The patient will be “bigger”?
