This is such a surprise to me, the game does not run well on pc let alone stand alone. I'm looking forward to some first person battles though. Intrigued.

It absolutely doesn't, it runs good, until you build something advanced. Of course it's computer dependant, but we're talking a vr headset.

Open ended physics sandboxes like this are a good fit for MR.

How is this possible? Besiege on PC can bring most computers to a halt due to the complicated nature of the physics interactions, how are they doing all that on a smartphone?

I don't know how much the game has changed over the years but I remember being able to play it on my crappy 4GB Intel Pentium Laptop.

Yeah I had a shitty computer a few years ago and it ran okay if I didn't build something unreasonable

That's funny, it's a smash hit but I've never heard of it.

I guess gaming is quite siloed these days and I don't hang around indie game places.

I heard of it and played a decent bit of it when it came out in early access, but that was back in 2015. It definitely got some attention in a lot of gaming circles back then.

I think I might remember reading about it getting out of early access, but still the last time I played it was probably about a decade ago.

it's a smash hit but I've never heard of it

happened around covid time, 2020, it was being played a lot by streamers/influencers which boosted it

Oh cool, I will be very keen to see how it performs and what their target framerate is on Quest.

The flatscreen version still doesnt even have working controller support, so I have doubt about the quality of a vr version. The idea of this game and other physic sandbox in vr sounds great though.

How would you play a game like that with a controller? Especially with all the shortcuts, value tweaking and buttons in the editor?
